I mean why r u guys so frustrated !!! Deep down we all know we are not world beaters and never were. To become world beaters we must have Pool of batsman who can consistently play for winning cause. Having gigantic individual milestones doesn't mean anything. A pool of bowlers with raw pace spin ability that can sustain / groomed over a period of time into potent attack which can take 20 wickest or strive for it. Not by chance or surface is supporting. I am not disheartened by 1 match loss however when we win the world cup I had my share of thoughts/observations. We are so deeply emotional about cricket(we must be too as it gets so much coverage) that a single world against team and their quality will qualified one as traitor. At best we will draw series eventhoug i still hope our team can prove me wrong.

Tony Greig is taking on India big time in the channel 9 comm. box for bcci anti DRS stance.
Tony criticised how come dravid no ball was referred on day2 by umpires but same review cannnot be applied on edges and caught behind.
In fact early on day3 Bill Lawry corrected Greig by telling him :Hello Tony a no ball is a no ball"

And a Hussey no edge is a no edge by the same logic.

Dravid's dismissal is the root cause
by Srinivasan Rajagopal on Dec 29, 2011 08:42 PM  | Hide replies

He should have played a bit forward. He holds the innings ensuring there are no wickets lost..eventhough slow in scoring ( i hope this is not a T20) he ensures that the bowlers get tired, lose rhythm and part timers are introduced..the same thing happened in adelaide 2003..his 73 took 178 deliveries but, if you see the others, sachin, sehwag, lax, they all scored good 30s...that time the target was 230..now it was 50 runs more..and gautam was a better opener than akash chopra..we should have won the match had Dravid stayed..hope he does not commit the same mistake of leaving a big gap btwn bat and pad in upcoming tests..

Yes you are right. We have lost a match which should have been won by us. From a commanding position of 214 for two wickets (just before Sachin got out), we have been bundled out for 282. In my opinion, Sachin getting out in the last over of the second day was a being turning point of the match. Again, Laxman's failure in both the innings (who had such incrediable record against Aussies)is also one of the major reason's for India's Loss. I was really impressed by Ashwin's batting. Technically, he seemed to be more sound than Gambhir and Virat in handling Australian pace attack. Anyway, best of luck for Indian Team for Sydney.

once again the indian team proved that they are just paper tigers.can't even defeat an inexperienced aussie team.
indian team and the board havent learned anything from the recent english trashing.they still carry half fit players.
so called experts were predicting 3-1 in favour of india.it will be 3-1 in favour of the aussies.

Come on. Rather than blaming our batsmen lets applaud their young bowlers for a change. They really bowled well.
One test doesn't make a series, hang on, we'll win this series !

Problems with Indian Cricket

BCCI lacks vision – after Sehwag , no batting talent has surfaced in Indian Test line up (the real test of cricketing skills). The slot vacated due to retirement of Sourav Ganguly is yet to be filled in 3 years (Team tried Yuvraj, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma, but none measured up to skills of Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag or even Ganguly). No wonder India has to put up with ageing Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and Sehwag.

BCCI needs to engage ex Ranji/Duleep Trophy players on retainer ship basis country wide to identify budding talent who can be coached in zonal/National Academy. Those who make the grade (make it to national team) will enrich the talent identifier handsomely where upon talent hunt will remain objective. BCCI sitting over tonnes of money can sure spend on talent hunt and coaching so that India keeps winning to keep interest of people alive. Otherwise, cricket a cash cow will go down like other sports like Hockey etc and BCCI’s coffers shall start emptying, far less swelling. This is where BCCI lacks vision

India has potential batsmen in BADRI,MURALI(Found by Ganguly),A.Mukund,Pujara,Karthik,
Yomagesh & some more talent. But they are ignored by Selectors & Dhoni. Further useless batsmen Raina,Kohli,Dhoni is still in the team. How do you expect the team to win against genuine fast bowlers ?
