Gambir's gambol
by Bodh Ramdeo on Dec 31, 2011 01:19 AM

Famous last words..."not worried", like the captain who yelled "charge!" to his Light Brigade Company, and we all know how that went down.

When you are captaining a well paid professional group , they should perform. They are not unpaid volunteers. But that's the impression they give. Except young Yadav.

Why BOTHER for Test,Folks???INDIA MUST Ban TEST CRICKET and MUST refuse to PLAY Test Cricket and Longer versions of cricket matches Immediately!Seeing all the
excitement of One day criket and T20 matches and seeing excitement of One Day Matches, Anna Hazare&team of patriots MUST write and OPEN letter to
ICC and to all governments to BAN Boring and never-ending and time-wasting TEST
Cricket and ranji cricket, duleep trophy cricket ets FOREVER? shame ann ahazare
and patriots are NOT making a national agitation to BAN poverty-rpoducing and
time-wasting and BORING Test CRicket Forever? The exciting One day matches compared to
BoringandNever-endingandTime-wastingTEST matches Prove why TEST matches and Ranji &dulpee trophy macthes MUSTe Banned in Poor nations since they cannot afford to WASTE Millions of man or wowman hours every year! This wastage of time has made us POOR adnd Backward aswished by the british crooks who imported this game like improting the mahatma
and non-violence dirty trick to make hindus morrons and ennuchs and lazy
forever too! ! What a Shame! ONLY One day cricketmatches, 50 over or 20 over or 10 over games must be ALLOWED to be Played in
ourcountry and ONLY on week-ends of Holidays so that we DO NOT waste millions ofhours every year and To prevent us becoming a Poor nation forever too!

Pathetic Show by so called Tigers with Bat in ICC
by sriraam subramaniam on Dec 30, 2011 06:33 PM

It is very pathetic that our batsmen which includes stalwarts like Sachin,Dravid and Lakshman could not get 291 against an inexperienced Australian Bowling. The main thing is that the Indian Batmen do not have commitment to win they just take things easily. YOu may tell me it is easy to say than done. How did New Zealand with much weaker and bowling strength could hold the Australians at Bay and won the 2nd Test. Indian are Paper Tigers and they do not have a little respect for our Nation. It is very shame. Dhoni is not a Test Captain, better give the Captancy of Test to some more experienced person. ODI and T20 may be given to Dhoni. Sriraam Kolkata 09433274005

LOL
Only person to be blamed is Ashwin!
by LOL on Dec 30, 2011 05:09 PM

According to Dhoni, Instead of blaming the seasoned and experienced batsmen for not delivering, its better to blame Ashwin for not converting his 30s to 100s. When Ashwin can score a century in India why not in Australia..? that too after scoring 30 odd runs in both the innings?. Leave out the specialist batsmen - who unfortunately could not get past single digit scores... its only for ppl like Ashwin to prove their potential and seal his place in team.. experienced people can relax and pose for photos if something good happens in the end!!!

This may be Dhoni's last test series as captain
by Baskar Guha on Dec 30, 2011 04:05 PM

Dhoni needs to tie or win the series to remain captain. Else the BCCI will look elsewhere as the test team cant afford someone who is ineffective personally and as captain.

What would have been nice is a captain's knock in the first innings when the likes of Ishant and Ashwin could have hung around but he is technically weak on such wickets. Sad but true.

Leave Team India and Join Team Anna
by Reporter on Dec 30, 2011 03:55 PM

It is the best time for you guys to leave a team and join another team with a new captain Anna. Entire country should watch these cricket guys for 24 hours but these guys will never look what is happening inside the country and welfare of people who actually supports and cheers them in their career. ?

Indian batsmen has forgotten the BASICS...
by joseredd on Dec 30, 2011 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

No.. I am not talking about footwork or any technicality here.
They forgot the basic that batting is all about making RUNS..
It was a pain to see india bat.
Are Yaar... you need to score runs to put the pressure back on bowlers.
Dear Dravid, SRT, gambhir.. mo matter how technically good you are, all it takes is one ball to dismiss a batsman.
And on these kind of pitches (MCG) you are likely to get one sooner or later.
The trick is keep scoring at a brisk pace, thereby put pressure back on bowlers and stop them from bowling the wicket taking deliveries consistently.
Even if you get one eventually, you will have scored something meaningful.
A strike rate of 30-40 wont do,
Even if you score a centuary at this rate, it wont help team.
Sorry I don't want to waste my time writing about this useless legends!!
BTW, kudos to ZAK, Yadav, Ishant, Aswin...
