The word "entertainment" can differ from person to person. For some only T20 is entertainment and for others it may be one day cricket/test cricket.

make test cricket interesting
by ASIF KHAN on Dec 15, 2011 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

i think tests should be made more entertaining by making both the teams play 90 overs/day twice one by one. result is guaranteed 100% and it will take only 4 days

it is really painful to see a team batting for three days and piling up runs.

Cricket means TEST MATCH rest all are for non cricketers games
by M on Dec 15, 2011 11:04 AM

Cricket means TEST MATCH rest all are for non cricketers games..allowed to be played by lesser skilled or those who cant make it.
Test Cricketers and Test Matches cant be sacrificed or wasted by the name of ODIs or T20s.
Its just not CRICKET.

Drawid is the problem
by Frodo Baggins on Dec 15, 2011 11:02 AM  | Hide replies

HE is old and past his prime 5 years ago cant field cant bend so he dosent want too many matches what prevents him from retiring
Lack of crowds is also because of him ..stonewalling and either blocking or leaving almost every delivery

Nobody comes to see THAT !

Rahul is a legend. A gentleman in true sense. He is a treat to watch while play. Don't you dare blame him for lack of crowd or empty stands !!!

You tend to criticise that you are not good at. It is the majority of people who decides what is best for them rather than a beneficiary involved in the process.

Rediff
by Prashanth DSouza on Dec 15, 2011 07:05 AM  | Hide replies

Rediff is giving short snippets thinking that it's readers have the attention span of a fish.

This is a 2-3 page speech delivered in Australia. Those who wish to read it in complete detail can check it out on the NDTV site.

It is important to quote a person in context. When you see how he has been honoured in Australia, being the first Indian to deliver this speech and what he has been requested to speak about (about his cricket, his views on Don Bradman, his views on world cricket), these statements will begin to make sense.

It is well written and with a lot of thought. Do not dismiss it by reading these short snippets on Rediff. Those who are interested in the future of cricket, should read the full speech. Whether they agree or disagree is not the point, but it is an important speech.

Am not taking any sides, for or against anyone. But it is an important speech and the comments have to be understood in the context of the whole speech.
