WHY NO REPLACEMENT FOR PADDY????????
by phaneeswar on Aug 14, 2011 12:09 PM

Did anyone observed that ever since Gary took Indian team role, he strongly recommended PADDY UPTON as MENTAL CONDITIONING coach for INDIAN TEAM....because a MENTAL CONDITIONING coach is of a great essence for a team like India where they play lot of cricket....to avoid fatigue and other factors you must require mental boost like anything, PADDY has really contributed India PSYCHOLOGICALLY very well and that is where Indians have able to fight back at losses....Paddy to exited along with Kirsten, why BCCI didn't invest on another mental conditioning coach??????Can't they invest on crucial HUMAN RESOURCE????Mike Horn should also be roped in Indian team for permanent basis.....WAHT YOU ALL SAY?????

I am not sure about Uthappa cause he has been given chances earlier and his tech is not so solid against moving ball but he is good in one-day. about rohit sharma he is rock solid and pujara too. pujara played a very gutsy inning in south african boucning wicket but he was injured before this series. i am shocked to see this when raina and yuvraj can play in test but not rohit who was avilable. In last 7-8 years Mumbai has won 5 ranji trophy without sachin and zaheer. but surprisingly not a single player from Mumbai team. In last tour Wasim Zaffer and Dinesh karthik gave 2 100 plus opening and one 80 run partnership. just one test failure in Australia Wasim was kicked out from team. same Wasim who is 100 time better opener then sehwag in seaming conditions. at least you could have kept him as one reserved opener when sehwag or gambhir was not fit.

Nuts

Ganguly and Kumble have got it all wrong and it is time to wake up and accept facts.Test cricket is now beyond our capabilities.
Sure we can beat Zimbabwe and Ireland in India with umpires making sure that Sachin gets at least one lbw benefit. And our top class bowlers get a 5- for regularly on wickets that start breaking up on the 3rd day when we play Bangladesh. If only the ICC would agree to our choice of Opponent and Venue..who could stop us from capturing our past glory.
Now that's not going to happen. So why not follow the strategy to build on our strenghts? Why not convert the world to T 20'S and then T10's and T5's...if we start to prepare for this seriously
a new Lalit Modi could emerge and ..oooh what fun...how much more money could be made and isn't is great to take the Indian public for a ride?

these are not dead flat tracks of india, india has never won a te
by Proud Brahmin on Aug 14, 2011 11:41 AM  | Hide replies

these are not dead flat tracks of india, india has never won a test series in Australia and South Africa...India should only play in india because that's the only place where they win or at the most just stay inside Asia otherwise they will keep on getting thrashed like the way they are in England...no one would be surprised if Cook scores another 294 in Ovals as well...just take this team back to india and eat bryani over there...give bharat ratna to tendi-noodle and ask him to retire

that is why i wrote before this series start that India never won any series in Australia and South Africa so we can not claim NO-1 spot for long. England is better side no doubt about that in all departments the main difference was bowling quality of english side is far better then our side. cause all this pitches in England are not more then 300-350 runs. they kept on making so much of runs. beside that the main turning point after zaheer exit was when they were 124-8 India did not get them out under 150 runs and India could not cash on 254-4 got all out before 300 runs after that happend moral of Indian team was finished.

WHY BLAMES THE TEAM THAT WON THE WORLD CUP FOR INDIA
by chandrashekhar iyer on Aug 14, 2011 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

It is very easy sitting in the comfort of the studio to comment anything.Let us not forget that this very team had won laurels of the world and every indian had been made proud. It happens and no one remains on the top for ever. Yes we need to look out for the younger players, but the whole blame is on IPL which is ruining the game and i am sure even if you bring youngsters they will not be able to perform as the main criteria is MONEY. down with the IPL for murdering cricket and especially INDIAN cricket.

Dear friend, this series very well proved that world cup victory was a good execution of a scripted story line.

Boss, the people who are talking abour improvement are those who have played for india with great success, so you cannot wish away their comments. Kumble, Ganguly and Arun lal are spot on in their assessment. Although anybody would respect and appreciate the greatness of players such as sachin, dravid and laxman, but we need to look for youngsters and groom them. Again, the main problem is the fast bowling department which needs to be looked into seriously if we are to bowl out opposition twice abroad. The world cup was won with youngsters and so that is a lesson for us.

Good....I didn't watch a single ball...
by Varun on Aug 14, 2011 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

I had decided not to watch a single ball of this series but to follow the results closely...as a result...

I was productive at work and spent good time with my family...

I didn't lose any time or money out of this series...

I was happy that my emotions stayed constant though these people went on losing...

I have decided to apply this througout my rest of life...DON'T WATCH IT, JUST FOLLOW IT...only then these people's crown can be brought down and keep them in order to PLAY cricket than just cricket...
