ICC should have shown maturity
by Uma Singh on Sep 03, 2010 05:58 PM

ICC should have waited at least the outcome of enquiry being conducted by British police. However, it is nonsense to blame India in any way for this episode. Pakistani officials too should show the maturity.

Tomorrow's headline: Porkistan berates ICC. The high commissioner accuses ICC and Sharad Pawar of conspiracy- India wants Porkistan out of cricket world.. blah blah blah.....
Tomorrow evening news: Wajid Hasan accuses the media of quoting him out of text. Blames the media and accuses it of working under orders from RAW.
Sunday News: Porkis will not cheat or fix during the holy month. Seeks help from the Saudis to talk to ICC to reverse the ban......

life goes on but these Pakis will be Porkis...

Why is the Pakistan high Commissioner involved inn giving out statements. It is PCB's responsibility to resolve the issue.PCB needs to at larger issues like how long has is going on, what is the modus operandi, where the trio forced into into it or by their own will?
The only objective of PCB should be to get the truth out so that no one points finger at them. This will be some ve thing for the nation who is in such a mess
Of course it goes without saying that there should be no integrity/conflict of interest/competency issue.
But in all likely hood the trio would back in the national team. It is just question of time (i hope i am wrong).

denial mode
by Arvind Sharma on Sep 03, 2010 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

The Pakis have developed the art of being perpetually in denial mode. From their point of view, it is the whole world which conspiring to bring disrepute to them. Introspection has never been the Forte of Pakis. Had that been the case, they would not have fanned terroism the world over in general and against India in particular. Till date they are in denial mode for the attacks in Mumbai and else where. They keep denying about the presence of Dawwod Ibrahim in Pakistan. Every problem that they are facing, according to them, is due to India and RAW (one wishes that RAW was that effective). Now they (newspapers in Pakistan and High Commissioner in London)are denying about the involvement of their players in fixing, this despite contrrary evidence. One only hopes that Pakis grow-up and face the reality.

Is very very unhappy that the scotlandyard, confiscated the amount of bribe received from the bookies. They have lost their share and paki govt are very very annoyed. What else they can do, but to condemn the ICC.
