Its infect late action by ICC
by Rick Shaw on Sep 03, 2010 06:37 PM  | Hide replies

Right from day one there is enough eveidence to "Provisionaly suspend" 3 players to save the game of cricket.
- To start with, PCB did not want to withdraw these players plating even in current series (as if nothing has happened)
- Then they say, players have withdrawn (but they have not suspended them) meaning players, if chooses to, can make himself available for ODIs
- The video is too good eveidence and the exact cash traded found in Butt's locker & room is a final nail in the coffin.

And still one news after other is coming about this 'spot fixing'.
Unless some cricket starts this is what we have to read for next few days.

Pretty boring.

HONOUR AND DISHONOUR
by Moses Joseph on Sep 03, 2010 06:35 PM

Indian cricket gets honoured by IAF conferring the rank of Group Captain on star cricketer Sachin Tandulkar. Simultaneously, ICC dishonours Pak Cricket by issuing suspension notice4 on three of its players. What a contrast!

JAVAGAL SRINATH & GREG CHAPPEL SHOUD HAVE BEEN BANNED
by Kabeer on Sep 03, 2010 06:29 PM  | Hide replies

Technically Pakistan and its Board are right.

The essence of the argument is Pak bowlers deliberately bowled no balls and the effect is England batsman cant get out.

Look at this scenario:

In the match where Anil Kumble got 10 Pakistani wickets, Javagal Srinath deliberately bowled wide balls, though technically they are not declared wides, in his last couple of overs so that he would not get a wicket but Kumble can get it when his turn comes up. This Srinath had stated on record.

Was Srinath banned for deliberately bowling wide balls and for not taking wickets? Was Srinath banned?

Here Pakistani bowlerd did that for money where as Srinath did for getting encomiums.

Similarly, when Trevor Chappel deliberately bowled under arm at the behest of Greg Chappel who was the captain, was either Greg Chappel or Trevor banned?

SOME INDIANS BOWLERS DELIBERATELY BOWLED UNDER 140 KMPH
by Kabeer on Sep 03, 2010 06:27 PM  | Hide replies

I can show instances where betting was done that certain Indian bowlers who bowled 140 plus in previous matches did not bowl above 135 on a particular day on a particular innings and on a particular match.

PCB SUING ICC
by Moses Joseph on Sep 03, 2010 06:25 PM

PCB suing ICC will show no-confidence in ICC. If PCB does not respect ICC decision, why does it remain as an affiliate of ICC. It can break off from ICC and automatically from all other cricket Boards of other countries. PCB can remain isoloated and follow its own rules and play on its own cricket grounds.
DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE A GOOD RIDDENCE?

Seems like they are in denial mode, whats the point in blaming others for their own mistakes.

Pakistan wont get anywhere with this attitude.
