Who is ponting?
by Azzrooddin on Oct 19, 2010 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

Bloody fellow took australian cricket to fifth position. They will be easily defeated. No one should watch this series. Instead people should be supporting our atheletes. Asiads is just 20 days ahead. Jai Hind.

Very true. We should not watch matches against #1 ODI team created by Ponting... :)

I tell you, not more than two people are writing all these comments and they are bookies. This series is insignificant, and we should be supporting our atheletes for Asiads. Boycott the Australian cricket. Jai Hind.

sachin vs ponting
by Raj on Oct 19, 2010 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

ponting has got more responsibilities than sachin becoz ponting is a captain of the auz while sachin is a batsman for India.Sachin failed as a captain.ponting is building the auz team after legendz left/retired while sachin doesnt need to this for India.i have got my own doubt if sachin would have scored these many runz had he been a captain for Indian team for many yearz. (and also we all seen how sachin showed his emotion when he reached 14000 runs in last match while India were 101/2 and sachin was on 25)

Ponting is doing same. He is a failure as a captain when he has mediocre players. All great players retired and Ponting is back to being a ordinary captain. That's the thing with mostly all great batsmen. Like Sachin, Ponting and Lara were poor captain. No doubt Ponting and Lara are great players but they are ordinary captain just like Sachin.

Ponting's competition
by sanath on Oct 19, 2010 06:12 PM

It is surprising how ppl still compare Ponting to Sachin. The most he can be compared to is Dravid in terms of runs, or matches, as Sachin is eons ahead of him.

Author has negative brain
by chirag foryou on Oct 19, 2010 05:52 PM  | Hide replies

Author is really very negative in his approach. He is assuming that Sachin's career will also end with a regret, despite his tremendous achievements. That may be he will not be able to win world cup in his career. So stupid. How can a Sportman single handily win world cup? How negative he is that Sachin is going to play his last world cup and he predicts he or his team will not win world cup. There is every possibility that India ( Sachin) may win it.

As another blogger rightly pointed out Sunil Walson was in the World Cup winning squad of 1983, although he didn't play a single match.

So according to you Sunil Walson is a better cricketer than Sachin ?

Correct. Stats don't reveal anything. 2 world cup victories are mere counts.... :)

By your logic Sunil Walson is India's greatest cricketer becoz he has a World Cup medal to show for it... :)

Sachin is a part of game
by sukesh tm on Oct 19, 2010 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

Ofcourse Sachin is Good or Great or even Greatest in Cricket. Having said that I can say only FOOLS can call him GOD.

I can see him just as a cricketer, Nothing else. He makes money by selling his talent...

Before praising him on the aspect of his cricket record on off field,
Has he done anything for the country?
What are our Jawans doing at Borders?
What about Ferrari Incident?

All I can say is he is Good in cricket and as Indian he is just like US or way below the guys who provide services to Mothe India.

Take CRICKET as sport.. donot spoil it by raising its heights to where it does not belong....He gets paid for the talent, He does not give back to society.

Hi Sukesh, I believe Sachin needs to come to your house and tell you what he does for this countrymen. Just for ur information, he has taken responsibility of 500 orphans included their food and education till they complete their highest education. There are many more things including charity work which he does and doesnt get into media. You must not write crap when u do not have information about such a man. Get well soon buddy...!!!
