hey buddy you can also say i am a worshipper of Sachin.
but when it comes to performing in crunch situations I think he is far behind Steve Waugh. A batsman's ability is judged by the runs he scores in 4th innings.
How many innings has Sachin batted with tailenders in 4th innings and rescued the team from jaws of defeat. hardly any. Compare that to other greats like Steve Waugh, Sir Vivian Richards to name a few and you will get the answer.

You are right to some extent ,Waugh batted with tail quite often and rescued australia.but an interesting fact is that Waugh got his first ever 4th inn half century only in 2001.It also shows aussie dominance in that era.Laxman did the same as Waugh in that mohali test, why was laxman not MOM in that test is a mystery. Sachin had the best 4th inn century vs eng in chennai

Abhijit: do you remember the test against Pakistan which we lost by a mere 20 odd runs in chennai? Sachin was fully set and in the dying stages he lost his wicket and India went on to lose. Similarly there are numerous instances in ODI's where sachin has got out in crunch situation as pressure got the better of him and India went on to lose. I am not saying that Sachin is the only saviour and the entire teams responsibility should be on his shoulders, but there are instances which more often than not vividly point that he has played for personal milestones.

i think sachin made 175 runs. for scoring that u dont remember him but remember only for not scoring 20 by others is nt fair.

Sachin is not a mortal like Steve Waugh etc with limited strokeplay. The only people who cna play in crunch situations are grafters. Sachin is a stroke maker and he should not be compared to cricketers that can graft with tail enders. Thats not his forte.

Laxman played with back pain and won the match almost single handedly.. against aus and sri lanka.. Anil played with with a broken jaw.. Sachin is a great player.. great person.. i accept.. but stop saying he is the best.. He is smart enough to play ALWAYS in his comfort zone. He couldnt take pressure as captain. He was not ready to accept playing as opener in tests and he clearly was not interested to drop down in order in oneday besides being opener.. This means.. he doesnt want to take pressure early in the innings of a Test and he does want to play when there is field restrictions in ODI, so that he can score better..
A great person is one who can perform well even when he is not interested in doing it.
Plz dont think i am sachin hater. I like him.. but i just cant accept people worshiping him, what so ever he does..
Get back for a min and think of others who contribute to the team too.. Shewag is great in his own ways.. A 6 to get ur first 300?? Can Sachin even think doing that? We know how many times, he wasted balls when he is close to 100.. Dhoni, handling captaincy in a cool wonderful way.. the way ganguly built a team... or say dravid, was strong as fort several times when the team is in trouble..

do you remember SHARJAH matches vs. australia when India were in trouble even to reach the finals, sachin stood tall and scored quickly and ensured india was in finals and then in the finals it was he who single handedly won the match against australia. do you remember india in australia last time?? It was because of tendulkars innings that india won the ODI series in australia after gap of several years, I think your memory is short lived and thats why you are considering the efforts of Sachin not "best". For a person having a carrier of 21 years with such a glorius history this is not deserving at all. He is the Best no doubt, for more instances just message more arguments and I will reply

@ Vinay Kumar You shpuld grow up man! You know nothing about cricket! Just going for a 6 on 300 and losing your wicket don't help your team! And about hitting a six on close to 100 then Sachin has done it 5 times in his test career; a world record! About being a successful captain..then who said a great player needs to be a great captain too? Was Lara a great captain any time? On the contrary, Nasir Hussen, who was never even a good batsman (avg) was considered a great captain!

@ Vinay Kumar hammm..So Lax won that match single handedly! What was ishant doing in that match then? If you'll have a mind then they would have noticed that out of 132 balls they partnershiped Ishant played over 90 balls! A no-10 batsman played more balls then a specialist batsman. He could have out in the first over but his determination to stay on wicket won the match for us, mate! What did Lax was indead great but in a team game matches are not win single handedly! Never! Against Aussies when Sachin made 175 runs he got Raina to an extent! But, the rest couldn't just make it to happen then! About 4th innings..if you play to your potential in the 1st innings itself why would you need to play in 4th? Sachin usually doesn't bat with tails because when he plays India don't usually need tails to bat!

aussies use dirty politics too like sledging ,ricky , dicky all n indians rely only on KARMA.
even greater than Don Bradman. Even Shane Warne accepted the fact. Now Greg Chappell aslo accepted the fact. The same Chappell who was coaching Indian team and calling SRT to retire. To me he is the greatest batsmen in the world even better than Bradman.
