By a Tendulkar's foolish Fans....

What if Sachin has not won any WC in his 21 yrs career, there is something to remember for all those sachin bashers...he is the highest run getter in all World Cups... He has the most centuary in all WCs, He has ben the man of the match in most WC matches, and he was once the player of the tournament in in one WC. Lets access his WC journey.... in 1992, leave aside sachin, no body performed in that WC. Stil sachin scored 2 half centuaries and one against Pak, including 1 wkt and was player of that match... then in 1996 WC, he was the highest run scorer, most centuaries and in the semi finals, when whole team was dancing on that turning pitch at Eden garden, he made 65 in the team total of 120, more than 50% nd still we loss bcoz next highest total was 25. Then in 1999 WC, is father expired and still he cane back and scored runs...but was cretainly off colour nd we understand the reason. Then in 2003 WC, he was the one who single handedly took India to finals...but in finals, if a team conceeds 360 runs, you cant even dream of winning in those days when there were only one power play. Then in 2007 WC...it was a disaster for our whole team. Now, if we compaer the records of Ricky and Sachin in WCs, Ricky is no where even close to Sachin in performance, but has still won 3 WCs. That bcoz he play for Australis. Its Aussi that has won all the 3 WCs nd not Ricky. Had sachin been playing for Aussi and Ricky for India, Looking at his performance, Sacin would have won all 5 WCs none

Veer :

You are right
its team game and to win WC whole team has to perform better.

Now Ricky is not winning test matches as consistently as he used to win before after retirement of gilly hayden warne & macgrath

more than that..Lara even coun;t make WI in to final once neither could Kallis! Does that mean they are just good for nothing?
Since the last three years Aussies are wining the WC's and that shows how good they are as a team. There have been players who came and gone for them, likes of Warne, Lee, Waugh bro's etc but they got players talented enough. It'll be interesting to see how they perform in upcoming WC. They don't have spinner like Warne now, a destroyer likes of Saymo or Gilly ( the best WK) and they also don't have that accuracy and killing power in their pace attack what they had in Macgrath and lee and Fleming and Gillespi!
So..let's see if Ponting can win a WC this time too!
BTW, if Ponting is that much better than Sachin..how couldn't he win a series or match in India even after playing 14 test matches?

and the reason for all this is his blind fanatics/worshippers who think he is god and who cant see beyond him.

till these people are going to say that sachin ''single-handedly'' wins matches for india ''with no contribution from other 10 players'' he is going to get criticized after scoring a double century.

the only solution for this is for blind sachin fanatics to accept his faults, shortcomings and start giving credit to others for their performances.

as long as the double standards and hypocrisy of thse blind sachin fanatics continues this is going to happen.

I agree that no one can "single handedly" win cricket game, because cricket is a team game, and each team consists of 11 players.

However, the Sachin critics in this forum should also keep this in mind when they say, "Sachin never won a world cup".

Why is everyone comparing Ponting's achievement as a captain to tendulkar's achievement as a player? Overall, as a player, Ponting has beaten India in India and has won Ashes in England, and won 3 world cups. Tendulkar?? anyone?? He might eventually win a world cup, but still 2 short of ponting.

As regards captaincy, only a fool will copmare tendulkar's captaincy to Ponting's

Ponting has never beaten India in India as a captain. If you say as a player, then Sachin was a part of the 2007 Indian team which beat England in England.

Its time sachin took retirement from ODI's and maybe play for some more time in the tests, just like dravid and laxman. This will ensure India plays in the WC of ODI without sachin, who has been an unlucky factor for the team.

is a man of quantity, and quantity never counts...you make 175 and then get out playing a shot your are not confident of and more importantly not taking your team to the finishing line...sure he is a great player, he will play till he is 70 and he will come in a stretcher, with a runner, to bat. He will make 5 bazillion runs so that no one in 3.2 zillion years come near that record.....but with no world cups in his kitty....that makes him a first of a kind

one man 175 - other ten 75 and again you need that 'one man' to win and even last till the last ball - pathetic, Indian minds never changes..!! For Aussise even Warne/mcgrath will fight till the end; i.e. all 11 are capable of winning, were as our India is still a One/Two or maxi Three men army!!!

Well said....

a) When he falls at 70, critics say - "Why not go beyond?"
b) When he falls at 90, critics say - "nervous nineties.. can't take pressure"
c) When he scores 100, "selfish century"
d) When he goes beyond 150, more of the "selfish" comments
e) In the process obviously many new records are broken and created; so another label - "plays for records"
f) After doing all possible herculean tasks when he gets back to pavilion; the other "11 Indians" are almost back before him... 486/5 to 495 allout types... :)

But we must all somehow think that Amrit actually can think... :)

yep...come 2011 sir will create mew record...6-0...now that looks great...and all those who feel satisfied with an individual scoring can celebrate...if i can ever know the actual numbers of what percentage of matches are won when he played...that way Sehwag can be termed the most influential as he destroys opposition...and those who disagree can continue with your one-man-worshipping...may god bless you

I agree ! Sehwag's contribution has been very crucial and groundbreaking in the recently ended aussie series.

Every run he scored was counted 4 times , since he has that effect on the opposition. hence his total score actually reads 236,48,120 and 28.

Very rightly said, people bash sehwag and praise sachin.

Talking about people who are both Sehwag bashers and tendy blind followers, hmm I seem to have trouble locating such entities here.

We will not win the world cup !

Unless our batsmen ( tendy /viru ) on a consistant basis help the team to get 400 scores

if we somehow get our bowlers to get into the form of 2007-2008, it definately will help our cause.

But as of now , in the bowling department we are kind of 1 trick pony. even the pony is not that great on its best day.

not sure how come all hopefulls from the past 2-3 years ( Rp Singh, Ishant, Sreeshant) have become absolute jokers.
