IPL-its effect on Indian team's recent debacle
by AKPC Swain on May 15, 2010 09:38 PM

Senior retired cricketeers ,in general, will not blame IPL for poor performances in WEST INDIES,because they all are immensely benefited financially by IPL matches. It is a good retirement benefit for them. The organisers are quite clever to rope them together.Money can change personality. There is nothing new about this.IPL has spoiled the Indian cricket. It should not cover more than two weeks at the most.THe players of all states should be given opportunity to take part in competition. There should not be any auction like auctioneering of bulls in bull fights. It is a shame for India to encourage auctioning of humanbeings for the shake of entertainment and money.Cheer girls are not a part of Indian culture. This should be immediately stopped by the government. The payment to players should be curtailed and the profit earned should go for the development of the underdeveloped areas and sport grounds in the country.

Win what a Win
by anand on May 15, 2010 07:58 PM  | Hide replies

This is the worst australian team in the history of australian cricket in the last 20 years. If you look at the standard of all the teams it is very average. The pakistan team is still the worst and so is england and south africa. Dhoni wins against such teams and claims to be a match winner. Still he cannot win against australia. Can you imagine an australian team without Mcgrath, shane warne, gilchrist etc.A pakistani team without Akram. Man those were the days of cricket. I would say good cricket. Al this dhoni yuvraj etc are good to be waiters at hotels. Not for Cricket.

This is probably one subtle way of getting even with Modi.

MAKE DHONI the lifetime CAPTAIN...
by E darwin on May 15, 2010 07:13 PM

pass a babua reservation bill, seconded by lallo.

MAKE dhoni PERMANENT CAPTAIN. this is india's answer to Australia and Eng per lallo.

for all critics, when India wins it is not those stupid 10 players, but dhoni's doing.
if India loses, it is those 10 players problem.

Khao Khujao Batti Bujhao - The story of Indian cricketers!!
by LeftRightBajaoSingh on May 15, 2010 07:01 PM  | Hide replies

The bunch of monkeys truly believe that they are heaven sent gift to poor Indians. They can sell sabun, tel and cold drink to Indians and make money but shirk their shoulders when it comes to playing for the country. Ricky Ponting had said at the first T20 WC itself that this win is a fluke for India and the true play will begin once every team picks up the game. True to tradition, Indians have again failed to even qualify just the same way they failed in the ICC World Cup apart from the T20. They truly believe that Indians are good enough to run like peasents after their bus in the Mumbai rain and whatever liberty they want to enjoy, the Indian masses will still treat them as gods. Time to boycott all products sold by these monkeys and start teaching them a thing or two about responsibility. Companies want to sell over priced stuff to us,fine but we will not but it with these monkey's faces on them.!! An overhyped sport which survives only due to the short term memory of Indians which does not last beyond a single match in any case. So today, everyone may diss them but tomm thy may play a side like holland and score some runs and we will again put them on our shoulders, that's why they don't give a Fish about Indians. We are peasents as per their viewpoint and they are the high and mighty selling us products. Shun them and make them sweat for every penny, we will see discipline coming overnight.

Gavaskar, IPL- Match Practices on Dead Pitches
by madhava tunuguntla on May 14, 2010 05:23 PM | Hide replies

Come on!!! he(Gavaskar) is truely joking.. In IPL games are played on dead pitches (to allow batsman hit like any thing) for high scoring games and there by more money...
T20 World cup in WestIndies is exactly opposite..... Pitches are rocking fast..short balls..low scoring...how can you go to West Indies with match practice on dead Pitches?
This even an average cricket lover can understand.... Please don't try to support IPL for your greed
