Letter to BCCI
by vanday on Jul 31, 2010 06:17 PM  | Hide replies

Please please include in your contract that every Cricketer will be kicked out of the squad when he finishes 30 years so that the record of the great little master keeps in tact in India at least. And young boys can have a chnace to lead india. See the squad, Ten 37, Dravid, 37 Laxman-35, What a waist.

If logical thinking comes naturally to everyone who has grown up, then you might also be having it by now.

But your illogical thinking indicates that it does not come naturally to everyone.

Unlike walking which comes naturally to all healthy toddlers, bating does not come naturally to everyone. So, stop displaying your stupidity openly by comparing how every healthy kids start walking on his feet to how a teenager/adult can find his feet at international level in cricket or any sport.

U are right all flat track bullies younster like dhobi, yuvi, raina, kohli, gambhir etc will run for cover on these pitches.
Only sachin, dravid, laxman will able to survive on these pitches as happened in past also.
Dhobi has no overseas fifty in entire carrer in test against quality team
.
Dhobi ghaat player shoul allow to play only gainst SLK,ZIM, BNG, KEN,PAK etc.

well quite honestly , the so called youngsters are a waste. They have proved from the past 3 years that they are nothing but IPL thrash. 2 years in a row all that the opposition team did in t20's was bowl short pitched deliveries. These jokers couldn't even survive 1 short pitch delivery / over for 2 overs.

Don't kid yourself. The SO called youngsters don't have the desire to do well. Prime example is the Ojha /Mishra party that doesn't take part in training sessions fully.
They don't care to be honest. To them Money from IPL > everything.

I should have been Country first and maybe IPL on the side, but for these blokes its other way around.

I tell you again, IPL has impacted Indian cricket in a very bad way.

See how wicketkeeper batsman of England Prior played match winning century batting at no.7.
He scored these runs under pressure against quality bowling attack & on bowler pitch.
Same is done by othet wicketkeeper batsman Gilcrist, Sangarkara, Mclumn. Boucher etc in past on many occasions.
Dhobi has never done it in his entire career.
All his centuries on only on Indian wicket & in no pressure situation (i.e when already 2-3 other batsman scored centuries), also against weak bowling attack.
He is able to maintain avg of 36 with those useless innings like 78 runs in last inning.
He has never played a match wiinning inning in test or T-20 even after playing for so many matches.
He is the most mediocre wicketkeeper batsman in international cricket in test/T-20.
Dhobi Ghaat supporter like rAnurag athore will again hide in toilet after seing prior inning.
Lets hope all these dhobi ghaat supporter accept the facts & don’t mislead the forum by wrong & twisted data.

so what you are saying is that tendy in his late 30's > the newbie youngsters who don't know how to handle the short pitched and swinging deliveries ?

He has taken a runner exactly 3 times in 20 years ! yeah thats a huge number right ?

Also he is doing exactly what you frothing rats are looking for ... chance for younger players ( although they are totaly useless as displayed in the zimbabwe tour) I cannot believe even after zimbabwe tour you dimwits still dont see the light ?

Were you all dropped on your heads when you were kids or were you born defective from day 1 ?

Quick question , did tendy/ ganguly /dravid/ laxman/ kumble make it to the team by default or did they have to fight every their way in ?

They fought their way in and thats why the performed so well for 15-20 years.

You strategy is " its ok to be mediocre, we are investing for the future" . you are investing in " a sorry bunch of losers like yourself"

Sorry we need winners like tendy, not losers like you.
The zimbabwe tour clearly showed what happens when you take in this attutude of " mediocre is ok"

Best Test batsmen between Jan 1997 and Dec 2002
by LG on Jul 31, 2010 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

This was the period when pitches were still very sportive and there were lost of good bowlers around:

Batsman Tests Runs Average 100s/ 50s
1 Sachin Tendulkar 59 5705 63.38 21/ 20
2 Andy Flower 41 3464 56.78 9/ 18
3 Matthew Hayden 35 3054 56.55 12/ 10
4 Rahul Dravid 62 5178 55.08 14/ 25
5 Aravinda de Silva 38 3134 54.98 12/ 9
6 Inzamam-ul-Haq 49 3740 51.94 12/ 15
7 Jacques Kallis 63 4447 51.70 11/ 25
8 Ricky Ponting 57 3916 50.85 14/ 14

Interesting thing is Lara was not even in list of 8 best batsmen at that time.

Averages of leading batsmen
by LG on Jul 31, 2010 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin Tendulkar
ASIA: 59.43
Outside ASIA:51.54
Difference: 7.89

Veru
ASIA: 61.51
Outside ASIA: 41.42
Difference: 20.09

Mahela
ASIA: 60.99
Outside ASIA: 38.33

great analysis of data....
truly Sachin is unparalleled...
World has produced only one Sachin, once Sachin is gone world cricket will lose 50% of its weightage.
He is a true master.....

True but perhaps he'll be as effective as harbhajan and ohja and his batting is definitely better than those two.

He should be rather playing in test matches in subcontinent. He has very low batting strike rate and don't have hitting power at all.

arey waste bangaali, all yr statements against sachin. be proud we have sachin for india. i told u already, we indians love to depend on parents or someother one. we dont work hard. same applicable to india team also. all ten players depend on sachin. india needs atleast 2 sachin to win the matches continuously. if one sachin fails, another sachin performs. cricket is not one man show. its a show of eleven players. australians all eleven players performs good, so they wins conitnuously and wins world cups. its better for us talk less about ganguly. no one in the world ready to accept ganguly is a good player but he is luckiest player. he failed in middle. they he got promote to start innings with sachin. with the help of sachin, ganguly performed little bit and luck also helped him. with the help of jagan mohan dalmiya be became famous. gangly also said that thing, sachin helped me lot.
