Re: Bharat Ratna for this game for losers?

Right mydear. Cricket is no sport. It ia a tamasha. Basic chracter of any sports is that both sides play under the same conditions. Rain, Cloud,Sunshine, whatever. A game where a toss can turn the game on its head is at best a gambling activity. Abt Bhrat Ratna, It is so devalued in the last few years, it does not matter to whom it is give. Any self respecting citizen will not accept it. So give it to ST

Sound System:
Wotz Proper Tax? You mean Property Tax.... don't you? ;-)
You are free to google the fact that he is the highest tax paying sportsperson in India.... But surely that will take a lot of effort on your part given the amount of intelligence you've so far displayed on the forum... :)

So, you will tie Tendulkar's hands to his legs, turn him into a chain and hang him to Bharat Ratna?
Re: tend
by Aditya on Dec 24, 2010 07:42 AM
i understand ur sentiment but no ur point is wrong. the award is given to people who have made significant difference in their profession or work.
Inspite of successes Kapil and his team did not change the game significantly in the world. Tendulkar has. Also Birlas and Ambanis have not changed anything when it comes to world business. Tendulakrs impact is to world cricket and not just indian cricket.
Re: tend
by abhay bisen on Dec 24, 2010 10:05 AM
in my openion i keep Kapil in great estim and his ability to bring 1983 world cup , it was completely his effort and for thst if someone say he deserves bharat ratna then i have no objection as i am a great fan of him too , but if some one say since Kapil Dev havent got it so Sachin should also not get the same that is wrong , remember Sachin is a legend , one can say he is a Bhishma Pitamaha of cricket as he only knows when he will go No body can pressurise him to go .
Sonia should also be called Bharat Mata from tomorrow. They both should get Bharat Ratna. MMS should be given an award called, the "Best of the Best PM ever in the world"!
Bharat Ratna, should be given to people who have done some thing great to the society which has brought wellbeing of people at large, like the green revolution which has done immense benefit to the farmer of india, like the people who have brought IT and BPO to india which has shown so many jobs which was job and the best jobs were only govt jobs at that time. How much have the khel kelne wale, gane bajane wale, sitar bajane wale brought to india, they have made money for themselves,di a little charity, may be 2 to 3% of their annual income, not more then that. We spend money to see a match or a recital for recreation and some fun, create some more sports award if we have to give some thing to great players or what ever but not bharat ratna, please respect Bharat Ratna, I agree some of the Bharat ratna were given to Undeserving people, pls set it right, There is a reverence that we attach to Bharat Ratna which has to be preserved

That's for the government to do you idiot, not for people in Sports, Films or Music.

fair enough.. then let there be no Bharath Ratna then. that will solve the problem

I share your emotions laxmi, but you have to also understand, he has been the most celebrated Indian ever. What he makes by sponsorships or endorsements is none of our business as long as they do not affect his performance which hasnot changed over 21 years. In a country where cricket is religion, he sure has helped in integrating the society (rich or poor, south Indians and North Indians, Hindus and Muslims) which in one way helps in country's development. It is the same way as Lata Mangeshkar did over the years with her melodious singers. Its like the same way Shahrukh khan's Swades and unlike his punjabi rich movies which Karan Johar or Chopras churn out. Kapil Dev is another cricketer I believe deserve it. 1983 world cup can be called as another sport but the effect it has on everybody confidence and morale is immeasurable. Everybody contributes to the society, politicians, scientists or celebrities and for sure Sachin deserves it more than Indira Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi. (Sure Sonia Gandhi also deserves to get one). But I guess this talk of Sachin getting bharat ratna at this moment is stupid as WC is in few months and it is unnecessary distraction. It can wait till he retires. Although 50 centuries or 40 centuries is not criteria. What is important that he is doing his best to win matches for India
Re: Re: pls respect Bharat Ratna
by javier on Dec 24, 2010 12:17 AM
Good Point Agarwal . Especially the last point which you made that world cup is just two months away and these are just useless distractions . And it will be greatest of greatest moment to see him getting the Bharat Ratna after India has won the cup and not before it
problem is that the people who mention about his wealth are somewhere jealous in nature with sme1s money , otherwise they wudnt bring up such a trivial category to defame any1 . right point , what sachin earns is his own business , why shud we bother as long as he is performing for india?
its just an excuse to justify their stupid hatred for national heroes

thats what Aditya , some of the loosers who cant play any sports are criticizing cricket , if it so damn easy to pick up a bat or start bowling , then why dont these ppl join the team and start earning billions like sachin , as they claim
India team is really useless without Sachin. India needs to think what they are going to do once Sachin retires. That bloddy Dhoni and useless Yuvraj are busy endorsing deals. Who is left

u fool... we beat aussies several times without sachin scoring anyhting...dont forget that...woithout dravid, laxman, harbhajan, ganguly there is no sachin...it is all collective efforts...

I agree with you, Raju. On most of the matches India won, Sachin had been a non-performer. Stats say it all.

;-)... absolutely... look at the Centurion Test for example... Sachin was clearly a non-performer and that's why India lost.... Stats say it all... Right? ;-)

Why to slip on Cast?? Who said muslims and other cast members did not get chance to prove them selves. Vinod kambli had entered in indian team at the same time as sachin.Infact he was a better opening batsman than sachin, Why didnt he proved him self. Take a moment and look into your own faults before pointing finger at others.
