ban/ come back
by jatinder sareen on Aug 18, 2010 12:36 AM  | Hide replies

Indian team should come back from srilankan series If the attitude/thinking is like this then we people of India should boycott the srilankan players.
the best action would be to ban Sangakara as well as Randive from even coming to India.
Bad persons have this bad attitude and spoils the game spirit in which all people beleive

Dhoni do not like senior players like sachin, sehwag, dravid etc... He didn't want sehwag's century in last match. He also didn't want that sachin make 200 runs odi against south africa. He is a very good politician. He is very suitable politics instead of Cricket.

How stupid....
by Manu Zach on Aug 18, 2010 12:31 AM  | Hide replies

No one complains when a batsman refuses to take a single while batting with a number 10 or 11, even when it is available. No one cares when the fielders deliberately let the last ball of the over cross the boundary, so that a lesser batsman can face the first ball of the next over. And everyone cheers a batsman who blocks every ball he faces so that the batsman who is batting in the 90s get the opportunity to get his 100.
The why on earth should one make so much fuss about a bowler denying the batsman a 100 aghainst his team, by deliberately giving a run in the form of an extra???

u r right. but ind r more obsessed with stats of batsman.

had this happened to sachin missing century, there wud hv been huge hue n cry coz sachin has more backing of commentators.

I usually dont agree with Bedi ..But he is right this time ...The spirit of the game was very important during his time..and he has proved that THEN..he is the once who got the vaseline strips on ground when john lever was taking wkts after wkts (more than 10 in that match)...Later on John admitted applying vaseline to ball...Bedi prefer not to pursue it to ICC..He did bring the attention of the umpire to the fact though...It would have put Lever in big trouble otherwise...But Bedi showed the sportsmanship then...(I think it was end seventies 77 or 78 Eng toured Ind series)

MURALI 800 but SEHWAG 99
by SKM Prasad on Aug 17, 2010 11:00 PM  | Hide replies

INDIA supported MURALI to gain 800th wicket in his last International test match. But SANGAKKARA and SURAJ RANDIV played dirty politics against INDIA's hero SEHWAG..This shows how jellous and selfish SANGAKKARA is ! He is spoiling SRILANKA's name which was lifted by great cricketers like SANATH JAYASURIYA and ARJUNA RANATUNGA

first in place, no one asked Indian team to support Murali to achieve 800th wicket!

yes, sangakkara &co are betrayers and fault lies with our players trusting such idiots
dhoni himself is politician in team who tries to dominate over players

Well, Indians didn't through their wkts to Murali, but what they could have done is when he was on 799th wkt and only one wkt to go, the last pair could have purposely got run-out to deny his last wkt.

So who is a bigger spoilsport
by Salil on Aug 17, 2010 10:32 PM  | Hide replies

Randiv for bowling a no ball and denying 'oposition' team man a 100?

OR

Dravid - denying his own team man a double against our biggest rival?

OR

Dhoni - allegedly (open to debate) at times tryies to deny his countrymen reaching 100/200?

No offence to dravid fans, i am his fan but the problem is I am a bigger sachin fan.
Infact when he declared, ganguly who was not playing then, had bigger role in that decision.

agree Sachin was slow.. not approaching his 200 quick and the declaration was gettign delayed. But in that case a message should have been sent to sachin...score quick..we want to declare etc...

so in the end i still blame Dravid for that. This is amongst the couple of grudges i have against dravid the other for him being the liability in the team as as far as ODIs are concerned especuially in the first half of his career. 2002 onwards he was good ...

Hey all looser, every one knows win is the most important factor, those 4 runs of Sachin could have been scored in 1 over, Dravid should have sent a message saying, we are ready to declare please if you want to score you 200 score it, this way Sachin get a chance to do whatever he wants. He was the one scored those 196 runs, doesn't he at lest deserve the last 4 runs, don't even fackin say personal mile stone is not important, I agree, but letting some one score his last 1-2 runs wasting one more over wouldn't have changed the cause of the game. If he would have scored the 200, it would have been his first against Pak and back to back double hundred one after Aus.

Else you wouldn't be askign questions like this.

Also Dada wouldn't have admited it was a 'mistake' after the entire epsiode to the media.

A tight slap on the faces of all those who think only Sachin cares for milestones.

And many thought sehwag didn't, even tighter slap on their faces by none other than the man himself.

No people..by hearth this -
Everyone, including sehwag, care for the milestones.
There is no reason why they shouldn't.
