Kidha veera, neendhra nahi ondhiya? These guys have made this a national story when it is just crap! Instead of going on about this we should be thinking about next Indian win!
i am wondering that why wasn't the runs scored off the sixer hit by sehwag counted? if it was then sehwag’s score would have read 105 not out. the argument given on all websites is that since the winning run was achieved by the virtue of no-ball bowled, the match had thus effectively ended. my question is that suppose if sehwag in the course of that shot for a six, had dislodged his bails with the foot or whatever, wouldn't he be given out hitwicket, even though it was a no-ball? According to the rules, batsman can be given out off a no-ball if he dislodges his bails by any part of his body or bat while playing the ball or the bails are dislodged by a fielder, bowler or the wicketkeeper and the batsman is found short off the crease.
if he would have been given out, then how was the ball dead? if his wicket can be claimed to have fallen because of hitwicket even though the no-ball would have credited india with the required one run to win and ended the match there and then; then why he cannot be credited with six more runs even though the no-ball had credited india with the required one run to win and thus had ‘effectively ended the match’ ?

Your understanding is not correct buddy. Even if Sehwag had dislodged the bail or got run out in this circumstance it will not matter. He will not be ruled out as the match had effective ended with that over step. Everything happening after that is inconsquential. MCC has already clarified that. This is the situation they explained.
If Sehwag had stepped out and got stumped off a wide then he would not have been out as the match would have ended with that wide. Its as simple as that

if that is the case then i have no problems in sehwag not been credited for that sixer. but this unnecessary ploy by the lankans has left a bad taste in the mouth.

shaheen. ur right during the middle of innings. thats when the winning runs r not scored. but i think, as the target was achieved, then the logic changes. n neither six nor hit-wkt vl b valid.

U R ABSOLUTELY RIGHT...EVEN THERE SHOULD NO NEED TO BALL D LAST BALLS IN SUCH SITUATIONS. BALLER NOW JUST TELL UMPIRES HE IS GOING TO BALL NO BALLS....

oh my god! your reply is so funny. do you really think that the umpire will be pleased to hear that from the bowler and accept it?

Everybody's talking about Randiv,Sanga and Sehwag. But I think the real culprit here is politician Dhobi. He tried his best to deny Sehwag a century same way he did it to Sachin.

No man I am @work. What are you doing at this time? Finished your session with dhobi??
Dhoni do not like senior players like sachin, sehwag, dravid etc... He didn't want sehwag's century in last match. He also didn't want that sachin make 200 runs odi against south africa. He is a very good politician. He is very suitable politics instead of Cricket.

You're a fool... talking rubbish. It's nothing to do with politics. Dhoni is a great ambassador for India.
