MR.BINDRA ARTICLE
by ramanujam srinivasan on Apr 30, 2010 11:46 AM

I really appreciate and applaud Mr.Bindra' support fr Lalit Modi,he is not only courageous and also true friend and mentor and provided much needed support when other didnot..All other people inside and outside BCCI are opportunist and cowards and work with self-interest and felt they would come under scanner incase they support Lalit Modi. Truth will prevaile and U can't hang someone on the basis of media trail which mainly based on increasing their TRP's. It's the latest trend in India that private media runs the trails on their own will. And moreoever today's world, any one can get into media by holding mike and camera and the real days have gone where only media used hire only qualified people..Mr.Bindra I really sallute ur extended support and people can't forget Lalit Modi' contribution building great brand like IPL.. It's nothing new fr Indian public to treat legend like Lalit Modi and they will realise only after he leaves us..I really feel&sad fr Lalit and pray god to provided him the much needed support..

Nothing so true than IPL which fit the pharse like a shirt. I mean all sadi and done IPL was a success in terms of Cricket. we had good matches which entertained us. Modi might have had money but what is worng in that. People are reacting as if he has taken our money. We buy ticket to watch matches and are we not entertained. Im no support for Modi but the fact remains he made what IPL is. I dont care what happen to him but i love IPL and it is fun.. I cannot believe that match can be fixed in such a short format. well i may be worng... but as i say we may hate IPL ... love IPL but we still like to watch it...

BINDRAS DEFENCE
by pkr ramesh on Apr 30, 2010 10:12 AM  | Hide replies

Mr Bindra I admire your defence of Lalit Modi.Modi according to me IS NOT GUILTY TILL PROVEN.But your defence is play back of what you BCCIguys did to ICL.You called ICL.match fixers.you insulted Kapil, went to petty, cheap level of removing his photo from Mohali stadium, stopped his pension,of a player who gave 100% to the game, damaged careers of young players, pressruised other boards to punish players who played ICL and much more Bindra. All that was with any proof was it not vilification? what goes around comes around Bindra.dont act holier than thou and blame all sundry This is nemesis

Suppressing ICL was wrong. But removing Modi is also wrong. Two wrongs do not make it right. Modi is being hounded for embarrassing a politician in process of getting his bribe. I think getting politicians pants down is a good thing for the country - there will be _some_ fear in their minds and will result in at least some reduction in bribe taking. I think by catching Tharoor in action, Modi has made at least some amends for his ICL sins.

Good that Bindraji came out to write in support of Modi openly without much faltering. But he has kept the article cursory or superficial without touching the elements or reasoning or truth. He is one person who is said to be close with Modi and should know some of the hard facts on this episide , but he seems to be putting it down more cautiously as he himself doesn't want to get mired into the controversies. No one within the circles of cricketing world , including the franchise owners , have come out openly to say any thing. Every one seems to be under threat that any act of public speaking on the controversy could endanger their stake and also bad consequences . BCCI have certinly shown they are indeed bigger than cricket (as always ever), IPL , even mafia and they are above the laws of the land. Congress certainly has a vehicle in BCCI through which it can show its political prowess which is so evident from their (non)indulgence in regional affairs by colluding with regional parties such as BSP , DMK in the quid-pro-quo deals what win them majority in the house. I recken, there is no other political party in the world , which can be so vile to be powerful and influential as congress. Indeed , this level of politics , is something which was probably not designed or developed , but has evolved in the past two decades , when democracy failed to check its strength wihout a strong opposition. God save India.

Let us assume Bill Gates commits fraud for improving the profits of Microsoft. Do you condone him by saying" Oh he created the most profitable company in the world"

First of all Microsoft is a company and IPL owns by BCCI which is owned my Indians,So cannot equate.Secondly if Bill gates commits fraud we would definitely say he made money through Fraud and should end up in Jail which actually happened is lots of other US businessmen. And Last in this case if IPL makes money Modi will also make money indirectly due to his Binami stakes in 3 teams.

If Tharoor committed fraud by taking commission in Windows sale to Kerala schools, would we suspend and investigate Bill Gates?

No one I think can deny capability of Lalit Modi in taking the IPL to the success level in such a short spell. With the Red Tapes of all Systems, it is not possible to get such success without many unanimous decisions, which Modi has taken. In the process, many fingers are pointed at him. While doing so, please look at at least three being pointed at yourself.
Media in our Country has always been ruthless and sold on this, so nothing exceptional on this. Afterall they goy plenty of Masala to SELL on every IPL Nights. So, can Media deny his support? If someone does not like it, why attend and not ignore!!! Afterall Page-3 is a very commercial and hyped all over the Country. In English, it got an IDENTITY. On the happenings, I appreciate his Father KK being on his side, not i think as being a father but a proud one.
I am sure Lalit will come out of this toubled waterbecause he is required there to continue IPL. Afterall, Lalit must have some Cards under his sleeve for the World and particularly GC & BCCI.

If the two are so much admired by the people why do'nt thease two use their expertise to creating a be.tter goverment at the center instead of trying all unwanted tricks to be the media lamp light. It would be better if they try to solve short commings in the present goverment instead off creating rifts and tides.

BCCI is such an Organization, everyone likes to get a position. BCCI started getting polluted since the time Politicians started entry into it. This had to happen.
