The author rightly appeals to our mind that the treatment meted out to an all-time success cricket story IPL-visionary, author, producer, director, manager,& scintiltor:Lalit Modi, by one and all in the row (BCCI, Press, GOI, et al)is not justfied. He should have been allowed to go on long leave rather than suspending him followed by mud-slinging without any judicial enquiry. Remember, the visionary freedom-fighter Mahatma Gandhi was not executed by the British.
1.It is a case of premature delivery that still needs incubation 2.Too many nannies and not a single doctor!!!!! 3.Case of artificial insemination 4.Too much gestational diabetes 5.Lot of baby fat expected with even a chance of infant mortality 5.Born out of a marriage of inconvenience 6.Desperately needs social services to take care

No one is ignoring the flaws. The law will look into it. He has copied it from the USA but then most thing in India are copied from US from dressess, malls ,multiplex , movies,ISRO etc etc . USA is the leader of the world so they will be copied. Neo had you made IPL Indian would have worshipped you to. It is not about Modi but the man behind IPL . It could be x,y,z

Precisely. Cricket is a timeless institution that doesnt need a Modi to nurture it.But equating Modi to the success of IPL is aghast. We need a better and cleaner IPL. Modi happened to be just a lead in who now is seemingly imposed on doing the whole show!!
The time has come that we think objectively about the games we play in India. It is because of controversy surrounded against Mr.Modi, I feel telling the nation that do not excessisvely indulge in cricket only, or for that matter do not indulge in any game excessively.Where is involved this thing will happen and what has happened in Mody's case will be a lesson to all of us. Please stop creicket and only cricket. Please develop other games from the money we got from cricket.People have become mad after cricket.Stop it or perish is the only answer.Government should stop all excessess where ever they are happening. Now it time for GOI to act & finish the excessess.

Please note that u have propmptly opened this article and made a posting...its only bcos of cricket..nothing can be done cricket is almost in every indians blood.
BCCI has always been uniform in insulting people who bring allocades... Starting from Kapil Dev... then Sourav Ganguly...very recently Rahul Dravid was dropped from ODIs and now Lalit Modi.... Well I wonder who's next.... Yuvraj Singh ??
Finger pointing at each other. Modi Vs BCCI. Now the truth will come out if the investigators are sincere. If not every thing will be covered and life goes on as usual?
1.Eliminate one man control - Have a cricket panel for cricket matters, finance panel and compliance panel 2.Donate % of IPL income to charities and other sports, public programmes 2.IPL Commentary: Enough with phony taglines - karbon catches etc 3.Ban IPL nights 4.Replace cheerleaders with troupes from school kids. One school per match 5.Takeout timeouts 6.Form IPL for women's cricket 7.Commentary panel - include professional broadcasters, eminent cricketers - men and women 8.Limit bollywood participation to brand ambassadors not stakeholders

Good points, worthy of debate. Dont stop here. Write this to some authority - you may not get the credit - but some of it may get implemented (of course some big-wig will take the credit)
Even if he took money so what?? Do Indians do anything for free? Our politicians take money even before knowing what the project is India is a corrupt nation with our politicians not working for the welfare of its citizens. go to china and see how the communist nation cares for its citizens.

What is this with so what attitude? Does stealing 10 rs make theft less vile than rs 1000. It is precisely this "lets join the bandwagon" attitude that is making more Modi's. Misplaced priorities at its zenith
If it was Modi's talent that created IPL then Modi can join ICL and revive it. I still remember how Modi smothered ICL using BCCI power, but he forgot that your deeds determine your future. Modi is a live example of why power should not be misused. The same will happen to every BCCI crook.
