Can anyone stop someone what he/she wants to achieve?
by LG on Oct 02, 2009 04:40 PM  | Hide replies

In my last post here, I would like to appeal to the readers both young and adults.

Please be proactive. Only those people who are reactive or enjoy mediocrity always complains:
Seniors like Sachin and Dravid are blocking youngster place in cricket or Lata Mangekar Ji has been or is blocking the place of young singers.
Remembers, nobody can stop anyone if he/she has the skills, abilities and strong desire to be the best. If it was not true, then why could someone not block Sachin and Lata ji from achieving what they have achieved in their lives? I have only two examples. It also applies to greats of other fields.

My request to young generation: You are the future of India, your characters will decide status our nation in the world. Please do not do anything that promotes mediocrity. The moment you start enjoying mediocrity, you are compromising with your own values, which affects your own characters.

My question to Adults, do you like or support a boss who is mediocre but always steals limelight for every success of yours but put all the blames on you when chips are down?
Probably you do not, then why don’t you criticize mediocrity instead of worshipping it in our cricket.

Best wishes to all of you. Bye.

Fate of Cricket
by LG on Oct 02, 2009 02:51 PM

There is not doubt cricket is going to die soon as true cricketer lovers are going to stop watching cricket. Cricket has been hijacked where mediocrity is promoted and over hyped; bilateral series and tosses in those series are rigged; and awards are bought.

I started watching when cricket was still a sport and where mediocre cricketers could not survive long. Unfortunately, it is no more a sport. ICC officials are nothing but paid servant of BCCI. I am sure pathetic ICC and rich but headless BCCI are driving away the true lovers of cricket.

It is no surprise the cricket has already lost its value in countries like WI and ENG. Only countries like India, Pak, SRL that will still give importance to cricket because large populations of these countries can easily be manipulated

As for me I have decided not watch cricket anymore

dhoni deserves

I am shocked seeing some stupid comments..
Dhoni deserves the award for his consistant performences... people dnt remember his innings because he doesnt hit hundreds which sachin yuvi do.. he is a very good finisher... playing 4 or 5 down u cannot expect him to play risky shots and get out cheaply when der are only bowlers to follow. and pls stop telling india wins coz of sachin.viru and yuvi alone.. dhoni is the anchor ..sehwag will play one good match and get out foolishly in next 5 matches (irresponsible). yuvi still strugles when he faces spinners at the start.. sachin never performs in the pressure games..
dhoni is the anchor in the middle order .. he cant be irresponsible by getting out.. he has done a good job in the previous year and deserves it... hope he continues to do well next year.

congrats to gambhir too...
