All the awards to Indian cricketers, especially the awards for Dhoni are truly deserving.
he is the best captain in the world of cricket playing communities of 7-8 countries, comprising some 130-140 crores population(out of which 125 crores is from India, Pak & Lanka). He is good leader to take out his team from any championship in the begining itself, so that his players do not get tired etc.
Truly a leader, leading from the front(or is it back?????).

HAHA !! Get a life !! Other than Kapil ,tell me a captain who one matches for India own his own? All captains have made mistakes...Its a game,you cant expect to win all the time!

(1) What is Dhoni’s contribution with the bat in all those wins in the test matches and one day games? (like that of Sangakara). Negligible.
(2) Is Dhoni an outstanding wicket keeper like Gilchrist or our own Kirmani? No he is in the league of Mongia, Kiran More and others.
(3) When was the last time Dhoni played attacking innings similar to that of Shewag. Don’t remember, may be three years ago, when he blasted Sri Lanka in a one day match.
(4) Has Dhoni won any matches on his own, in any capacity – as a batsman or as a wicket keeper or as a Captain? No, cricket is a team game. There can be match winners, but not solo winners.
(5) Sachin, Shewag, Rahul and Laxman, do they need to be motivated and guided? No, they are committed, talented and non egoistic; they don’t require to be mentored and managed by any Captain, least by Dhoni.
Why is Dhoni in the team? Because he is the Captain.
Why is he the Captain? Khuda meherban, to gadha bhi pehelwan !

xcuseme kadam sahib......the all knowing one.....i think you do not have very good memory.....but find out for urself MSD's statistics and also of team india's in past 3 years....what u hav written above doesn't make sense when i see how indian cricket have evolved in last few years.....if u do not want to appreciate someone....atleast do not simply put him down.

Which Indian Captain's approach was as roaring as Dhoni. Dhoni blasted Srilanka when he came at no.3. Sehwag blasts coz he's an opener and it's the job of an opener. When Dhoni comes at no.3 then u fellow say he has promoted himself to improve his avge,didn't u see how unselfish he is while he comes in at no.6 or 7 when there is hardly any time to adjust. Sangakkara comes in at no.3 so u can always expect at-least a 50 or a 100 from him. Dhoni has single handedly won so many matches for India Fan ur memory is too too low hence u take a memory pill and have a chill.

i completely agree with you man. Moreover it is a team game and so captain is as good as the team. Without Dravid, Sachin and Laxman kind of players India cannot win in Tests atleast...
dhoni the waste player ever who always scores 50 of 70 balls when india is in good position..but when india is in a position to need 150 runs of 120 balls dhoni can never score 50 because he cant..he has no shots except full swing for an attacking shot .always maintaining averages ..useless and selfish player always takes credit when viru and yuvi fires ..when viru and yuvi scores india wins credit goes to dhoni alone.actually viru deserves icc test player and yuvi deserves icc odi player

C'mon,every batsman does'nt need to go bang bang every time....he has to play according to situations.Take a lesson frm afridi's career.Also,it wasn't long ago,when almost in every match,ur viru used to play absurd shots,nd got out!

A captain's job is to improve the performance of other players in his team; similar to what a manager does. Look at other former captains like Sourav Ganguly, Steve Waugh; they were not outstanding players, but they encouraged other players to perform, hence the team overall performed well. As far as managing the team is concerned, Dhoni is doing a good job. And managing a team is not an easy job. Look at Sachin, though he was an outstanding player, he was not a good captain.

Also ur yuvi used to be quite an inconsistent player,nd his best innings hav come under MSD's magical,nd unorthrodox captaincy! Infact,Dhoni should be lauded,just bcoz unlike other indian skippers in the past,captaincy has'nt affected his batting!
Ponting, Sangakara, Smith...not making to any of the team!!! Thanks god they have not included likes of SRK or Lalit Modi in the teams.... May the soul of Cricket rest in Peace...Aameen .

The guys u r talkin abt,hav had long time intervals,btween there performances,in the period considered 4 voting. Also,don't forget,last yr no Indian won an award,bcoz there performance in the voting period were bad!
