Australia has won the series because of good performance of new entries. If Australia have so called there key players, they would have lost the series with humiliating difference.
The only thing I am going to remember about this series after some years is sachins 175.Like many others I was also critic of his performances in the last 5 years but I have to admit this innings was really memorable one.
Inspite of losing series, Mumbaikar's had come in full Enthusiasm to watch the ODI all the way to VASHI, But none of the Officials in DY patil stadium were talking about refunding tickets , Once the match was abondoned Cops vanished , no one to check at Gates. Does anyone care about the FANS !!

very true. even we were amazed at the entrance check post. all the detaols mentioned above r purely lie. in fact the y inspected at 4 pm & never came at 5 pm for inspection. they really palyed with the emotional of around 10000 people present at the ground despite of heavy rain.
It shows how important to win each and every match whether its with big side or not, or series is of 3, 5 or 7 matches.
Just imagine if series had been on level before mumbai ODI then today India & Australia had to be joint winner.
There is nothing special that Aussies did with winning the series and last ODI at Guwahati.....they had not anytime this thing in their back mind that there could be rain too....
BUT their approach of winning each game made them clear winner of the trophy....while with Indian team, they have ever approached firstly that they will win any game just like a kids play and later when they even loose a particular game then they either rely on other teams to make them through to the next round or they got satisfy being joint winner or put various reasons for their loosing of title.
Now Dhoni will say 'had it not rained we would have easily won the Mumbai ODI'.. Just like what he said after the rained out game against Aussie during the Champions Trophy..

India is by far the better team. India's chase of 350 could go either way. Luck favored Australia. I would still give them credit for professionalism, determination and team work.
i have a question to BCCI and all cricket countries....
why dont they cover full ground .... it will be easy to start the game as soon as rain stops... if they dont have enough money to buy plastic(they definitely have) then , we all will donate few rupees .... can any one give the correct reason....?

Srilanka are doing that, normally depend on rain, grounds (not pitch) are made with some techo power so they can suck all the water quickly, however i prefer same that they should cover like srilanka so match can start quickly.

its not about covering the ground with plastic but displacing the rainwater afterwards. There are not enough supersoakers or pipelines to take the water away from the ground.
Thanks to rain god. Dhoni sena can rest in the comforts of their hotel. We can also peaceful go to work. No need to worry about 100 all out scores..or regaining lost face..
