It shows how important to win each and every match whether its with big side or not, or series is of 3, 5 or 7 matches.
Just imagine if series had been on level before mumbai ODI then today India & Australia had to be joint winner.
There is nothing special that Aussies did with winning the series and last ODI at Guwahati.....they had not anytime this thing in their back mind that there could be rain too....
BUT their approach of winning each game made them clear winner of the trophy....while with Indian team, they have ever approached firstly that they will win any game just like a kids play and later when they even loose a particular game then they either rely on other teams to make them through to the next round or they got satisfy being joint winner or put various reasons for their loosing of title.

Although I am not a great fan of the Aussies ...have to admit that this time they won because true spirited efforts and yes Ricky Ponting lead the team to success with true fighting spirit
Some said here "There was a time when players under Ganguly use to take pride in playing ."
For GOD sake, do not tell us that Ganguly taught players to play with pride.
Do not confuse playing with pride for nation with playing for one's own pride.
Ganguly had lots of ego problem. People may call him brave or confident captain when he let Aussi Captain wait for toss or took off his shirts. But it is simply childish behavior.
He also ran away after seeing green to pitch.
He was probably good before he started thinking himself to be bigger than the game of cricket or team India and started all kind of unfair tactics.

whole world knows it..were u not aware..i am servant of god.I should have asked this question to u ,as you have skeched so many details of him.
India must have the matchwinner aganest australia like VVS LAXMAN. I am not know why selectors doesn't select him Eventhuogh he have good record aganest australia in ODI's
Indian teams 1st lost which was very close but only because of our bowler bated well not because of our top batsman. 2nd lost which was close only because sachin played 175. 3rd match where india reached 170 that is also because of bowler other wise they would have colasped below 100. When we go through all these, we can see the where indian team stands.

you are a dumb head to think about the 2 wins when there has been 4 losses.... all the 2 wins were fluke for the indian team.. this time they escaped

infact the team should carry the confidence into the SL series also.... always a 4-2 loss is much better than a 5-2 loss..
