INDIA SHOULD HAVE FAIR SELECTION
by hussain khan on Nov 11, 2009 06:18 PM  | Hide replies

I think the main reason for India side dismal performance due lack of fair selection policy as some good quality one day player not getting enough chances. I want to know why rohit sharma, pragyan ojha, pathan brothers, venu gopal rao, is not getting enough chances to prove their talent were as ravindra jadega, Praveen kumar, suresh raina getting so many chances. I think jadega and Praveen kumar lack that punch and spirit when it comes to running between the wickets as we have in that both did dive on the crease to save their wicket which we usually see from pathan brothers, kaif, rohit etc. Praveen kumar main responsibility is to bowl well but rather than he batting so is harbajhan. Take example of y.pathan, he fails in that match against pak in champion trophy but he was the most economical bowler but that was not taken into consideration and team management droped him from next match itself. And same goes with venu gopal rao he scored wonderful fifity in his second last chance he got then dropped and his impressive performance in both IPL was also ignored. Lets common sense prevails and some sensible selection policy should be followed.

azharuddin too, its a conspiracy against m1nor1t1es so we shud rectify it by bringing kaif(last time when he scored runs??), Irfan even if bowl slower than 120ks and azharuddin so that he can fix some matches and earn his liveliood

Playing without spirit
by Param on Nov 11, 2009 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

There was a time when players under Ganguly use to take pride in playing . Remeber the times when yuveraj and kaif, showing emotions and passion and every one were upbeat ....now becasue of execeesive ads and toomuch of money given to these cricketers,,,,,,no one is taking the game seriously....THE BOTTOM LINE IS PEOPLE ARE COMING IN LACS TO WATCH A GAME PLAYED IN NDIA ... EVEN TODAY PEOPLE KNEW IT IS A DEAD RUBBER.. BUT THE PEOPLE ARE PAYING THOUSANDS KNOWING IT COULD BE A WASHED OUT MACH,,,,, ISNT IT THE RESPONSBLITY OF PLAYERS TO SHOWCASE THEIR CAPABLITIES TO THE FULLEST.............I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIB E.. I AM SO HURT WITH THE TEAMS PATHETIC SHOW.......WHY IS IRFAN PATHAN NOT IN THE SIDE.. THIS GUY HAVE WON MANY CLOSE MATCHES......REMEBER THE M,ATCH IN SRILANKA.... WHEN HE HIT LASITH MALINGA FOR A SIX IN THE FINAL OVER...... WHEN ALL THE HOPES WEREW GONE... AND ALSO HE HAS WON.. MANY CLOSE GAMES FOR KINGS ELEVEN PUNJAB.... WE COUD HAVE WON THIS SERIES .. HAD IRFAAN PATAHN BEEN IN THE TEAM....REMEBER WE LOST 2 MATCEHS BY 3 AND 4 RUNS... IRFAAN COULD HAVE MADE A BIGG BIGGGGGGG DIFFERENCE...

Param,

For GOD sake, do not tell us that Ganguly taught players to play with pride.

Do not confuse playing with pride for nation with playing for one's own pride.

Ganguly had lot of ego problem. People may call him brave or confident captain when he let Aussi Captain wait for toss.

He also ran away after seeing green to pitch.

He was got before he started thinking himself to be bigger than game of cricket or team India.
