shame on congress
by Anil Kumar on Mar 24, 2009 10:55 PM

'South Africa are also due to host national elections during the tournament in April - but appear to have provided Modi/IPL with sufficient assurances over security unlike India and the corrupt Indian political system there"

Shame on Congress government and an insult to Indians.

This is what congress and italian mafia wants make india weak unsafe like pakistan and then loot..like katrrochi etc.

Its Kangress Vs. NCP, Kangress wins, INDIA loses, Pak smiles
by Cool ChandraThakur on Mar 24, 2009 10:47 PM

Pak would be laughing like crazy :(
BCCI is headed by Sharad Pawar of NCP, so Congress was always trying to pull the rug under his feet.
After Kangress came to power in Rajasthan, Lalit Modi lost the BCCI election.

But now Maharashtra & AP (both ruled by Kangress) at last minute went back on promise to provide security & so IPL is kicked out of India.
The message that goes out is India cant host International games (just like Pakistan) coz its not safe.
So in the match between Kangress & NCP:
Losing Captain: SHarad Pawar
Man-of-match: Sonnia Maddam for her last ball Sixer. (First approving the changed schedule of IPL, then at last moment refusing security via her Kangress govt in Maharashtra & AP)

But the real loser: INDIA

IPL going to South Africa
by Rajiv Mathur on Mar 24, 2009 09:47 PM  | Hide replies

In my view too much is being made out of the fact that India is not the venue for IPL matches. Security being what is today, it is only natural for the centeral govt. to express its inability considering election schedule.
I think we should just wait for the telecasts and enjoy. Afterall it adds to the excitement of getting up at all odd hours to watch these matches. Leave politics behind for a change.

no need to get up @ odd hours, since only Indians will watch and no one else, they will play as per Indian timings, even if they have to play at mid night

Hold elections along with cricket matches in stadium- you can be assured of high voters turnover and no extra security required.
Indian politicians couldn't think of such simple solution. No wonder India is in shambles.

Thank you!! Not many people could appreciate my special gift. Actually there is no need to hold elections, just do a lottery because in either case the result will be the same.

Elections should be given Utmost priority
by Vinayak Degaonkar on Mar 24, 2009 09:41 PM  | Hide replies

Yes no matter what, the only IMP thing is Election. And this is just after the Terrorist attacks on Mumbai. Any case Security & elections should be given utmost priority.

Peoples will forget the real issues & simply waste their time in IPL.

Should the organisors avoid the dates & re-organise it.

Will the money go into the BCCI (Sharad Pawar of NCP)

Can someone put focus onto it.

insenstive meida coverage
by KrishnaSundar suggula on Mar 24, 2009 09:41 PM

I dont why media(English media) wants so much of circus around this issue. Whom from you are getting paid? are terrorists funding you to have this much hype around it, or just want to create chaos as usual at every crucial moment that defined us. I don't know whether you are patriotic in discussing when you put elections vs IPL. Nobody is thinking that the English media is sensitive to the sufferings of common people and to the terrorists threat at all. you will all cry foul when you next time see some thing happens terrible saying "intelligence was telling already, No body heeded it" etc .. etc.. blah blah

Ek din kaa Sensation news banayaa.. hungamma kiyaa.. Rajdeep aur Barkha dhono Tv mein serious chehraa lagake naatak kiya ki,poochaa ki"India mien safely cricket nahi khel sakthe kya.?", as if some poor man is getting feeded with two square meal with this IPL!

If some greedy fellow gets serious loss with this not happening IPL, let it be
IPL is no match to the country's future defining elections at all. todaa tho sensitive bano yaar!
