General Elections are far more important than IPL
by S SSS on Mar 23, 2009 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI is trying to prove that they are as powerful as Indian Govt. Why should a private game show ask for security from govt? The profit goes to cash rich BCCI and team owners while they expect security be provided by govt, why? In fact, they also wanted news coverage to gain publicity for IPL. Elections are far more important than IPL. I suggest henceforth IPL be held outside India only. Also, the players feel betrayed. Nobody took their opinion. The celbrity politicians & filmstars have taken all players for granted. All star players should withdraw from the gameshow. The BCCI, IPL francises will then realise what popularity their game has. Over last two days, the events that unfolded were all related to personal ego, prestige of BCCI, its functionaries over govt of India. Nothing can be more important than paramonut security of the country& its citizens, not even cricket. - Mallya, Modi, Pawar, Abanis, etc should realize this.

General Elections are far more important than IPL, but the question is not,it is about security.
It appears that our HM is incapable of heading that post.
Like a schoolboy our HM says that he would not be able to provide security due to elections. The HM should apply all the resourses at his command and do all that is necessary to provide security for all events taking place in our country.
He should have forethought these events and done some recruiyments and provided training.
Everybody will have a dig at him for being unable to do his duty responsibly.
So he will be making a fool of himself when he gets getting digs.
The more he tries to protect what he does, will entrap him into a mess.
So buck up HM AND SIMPLY DO YOUR DUTY OR QUIT.

Absolutly.... the decision which the Govt. has taken is absolutly correct.. The protection of the people is more important than IPL... Especialy by this situation... We already got the information about the terrerist attack chance in the Election time... What foolishness is doing by the ICC ??? If the ICC is contecting IPL for Indian Cricket fans, they have to postpond the Matchs...

What an IPL?
by siddiqui on Mar 23, 2009 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

IPl a pride of India for Indians a boon has turned a bane for us. We took pride in that before but now it is just an insult to all cricket lovers to shift it out of India what will happen to IPL if we indians unite and Boycott it.
