Sachin was a Sainik? somehow apart from you no one knew. Do all you non marathis think all marathis are sainiks. then you do not understand politics.
Agreed that IPL is not bigger than country. but the feelings of indians are definetly bigger than country. IPL is schedule much much earlier than annoucment of general election. It is true that government cannot provide sufficient security to IPL, and due to the busy calender of International cricket it is not possible to postpone IPL, only things can be done is to cancle IPL this year.
Now what is the harm if IPL is playing outside india, people of india want to see IPL and want to enjoy IPL, it doesnot make any difference, yeah only difference is that government will have to forget the income tax which it is supposed to get it from IPL profit, (last season it was 170 Crores)
Any concern person doesnot have right to oppose shifting of IPL, if their moral are still exist, otherwise there is no lack of person in india without moral (all PREJUDICE)

I feel pity on Indian govt. that it can't arrange a tourament in India. Than whats the use of spending so much in the name of security???? There are only two things that either the govt. is incapable or this is sheer politics.
God save India!!! (although it won't as people of India don't go to vote but only talk)

Gupta Jee
Why you cant understand that due to the election it is very difficult for anyone to gaurantee full security. If it hadnt clashed with Election their wouldnt any problem in holding it in India as our security forces are capable of doing that.
In a surprise announcement made by Buchanan earlier in the day, the Aussie coach said that the issue of captaincy was under discussion. "We are deciding about the captaincy. We are still having discussion on the issue," Buchanan said, while announcing the final 28-member squad of the Kolkata outfit.

DEAR "IPL" WHY CAN'T YOU PAY FOR SECURITY PERSONNEL DEPLOYMENT, WHEN YOU ARE EARNING TOO MUCH.
EARLIER TOLD BY "BCCI" THAT IT "BCCI" IS NOT CONTROLLED BY GOVT. THEN WHY DO YOU NEED PERMISSION FROM THE GOVT. WHY DON'T YOU ARRANGE PRIVATE SECURITY ON YOUR OWN. WHEN "BCCI" NEGLATING DOORDARSHAN FOR TELEVISION RIGHTS, THIS IS THE RIGHT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOVT.
Its only a commercial decision made with the eye to make profit by few companies and individuals at the cost of every cricket lover. As a country General Election is most important than IPL.Let them change to Iceland or Sahara. John

AGREED THAT G.E is more important than IPL. whats the harm if IPL is playing or not? and whats the harm if IPL is playing anywhere, ?
IPL is not bigger than the nation. For once Chiddu is right in refusing security for IPL when the country needs it. I like to seee more such strong action from Chiddu.

But if Chiddu can not arrange for security at 10 venue how will he provide security for thousands of rallies to be taken out during the election. Better postpon the elections as well.
