Its Kangress Vs. NCP, Kangress wins, INDIA loses, Pak smiles
by Cool ChandraThakur on Mar 24, 2009 10:53 PM  | Hide replies

Pak would be laughing like crazy :(

Sonniaji hit a last ball SIX (First approving the changed schedule of IPL, then at last moment refusing security via her Kangress govt in Maharashtra & AP)

BCCI is headed by Sharad Pawar of NCP, so Congress was always trying to pull the rug under his feet.
After Kangress came to power in Rajasthan, Lalit Modi lost the BCCI election.

But now Maharashtra & AP (both ruled by Kangress) at last minute went back on promise to provide security & so IPL is kicked out of India.
The message that goes out is India cant host International games (just like Pakistan) coz its not safe.
So in the match between Kangress & NCP:
Losing Captain: SHarad Pawar
Man-of-match: Sonnia Maddam for her last ball Sixer. (First approving the changed schedule of IPL, then at last moment refusing security via her Kangress govt in Maharashtra & AP)

But the real loser: INDIA

why couldn't BCCI wait for elections to be over
by SibaPrasad P on Mar 24, 2009 10:50 PM  | Hide replies

I am not sure about the urgency. It could have been easily managed by avoiding dates clashing with election days.

dude post elections the ICC calendar was packed - no international players would not have been able to join - hence postponement was not possible

true. but we could have got a larger variety of players - there is no shortage of them. Smells like a conspiracy sometimes.

Enjoy the game!!

Why bother?

1. When you know that security is indeed a challenge in India. By hosting IPL in India - or not hosting it at all could we have denied it?? - in fact things may have been worse

2. We are not endorsing that in india we have pakistan kind of state-of-affairs. Letz understand that we are the biggest democracy in the world!!! and providing security to this 5-week-long mega election fest involving 1.15 billion people is no joke!

3. The idea of India in fact ruling the world excites me as well. We are buying out companies - churning out Nanos - now thru ipl we are actually buying international players/ becoming a source of employment for many in SA. I feel proud being an Indian!! dont you??

4. I am a big cricket fan , i watch cricket on tv , i still would do that!! my entertainment is assured :D :D

Overall it is a right decision! i would recommend that you too enjoy!!

Hi Buddy,
Excellent Insight on the current status of South Africa and also of their elections. But you have to remember one thing that they don't have a neighbor who always wants to destabilize the country. We are not afraid of the outside attack,it is the sleeping cells in India which may woke up during IPL and may create unrecoverable disturbance. The Govt. don't want to take chances.Be true to your heart at the most how many matches do you watch in the ground. For me watching in TV is quite a lot enjoyable than watching in the ground. In Television atleast you can catch every moment of the match in Crystal Clear way.I accept that we miss the josh of watching in the ground. But for the 3 hrs josh we can't keep a man's life at risk. And if anything wrong happened then it is bad for the whole country.
Be United and strive for better INDIA.

National Pride

The Honorable Home Minister of India Dr. Pa Si is already on record that the Gujarat riots were a bigger National shame, than India being an unsafe Nation for cricketing. Hence, since it was we, who elected the Congress Government, under aadaraniya Smt.Soniaji, we should also accept that India is a dangerous country which cannot provide security to its citizens and guests, irrespective of Aamir Khan, solemnly censuring teenagers who innocently scribble their names on National Monuments,(for a hefty fee of course). Thanks SA for bearing our burden.

Now that IPL has been moved out of India, why not rename the Indian premier League (IPL) as International Or Intercontinental Premier League (IPL). Hello Lalit...are you hearing?

Halla Bol Against MONEY MAKERS-Modis,Pawar,Mallya,Manohar
by Anerbban Dutta on Mar 24, 2009 10:30 PM

Beloved INDIANS’,
I am a real Cricket Lover and crazy too.
But ,Don’t u feel it’s the time to join hands and revolt?WHY?
When we r going to held the largest democratic Election in d world ,why the spotlight b focused on a tournament so much, that leads the nation towards unparallel thoughts, biasism, unwanted political gain to some diplomats and so on… WHY?It was pre-destined to held election now.We already had a terrorist attack at Mumbai last 26/11.
Or,all the organizers were waiting for follow up terrorism outside India to force tournament Outside India?
Lalit Modi (himself accused under narcotics crime)backed by Mr.Pawar ,powerless now.A lawer & BCCI President Mr.Manohar to criticize Govt. as unloyal towards “ATTITUDE” !Isn’t it a national CRIME?Its a well planned strategy to put Cong pressure for whom Lalit is out of RCA.Or,For Corporate BOSS who can at any time terminate hundreds of staffs, captain of his own team with an hour notice from job to keep the Company’s account well balanced,we should conduct IPL at any cost to boost Monetory Demands? Was the money raised from 1st IPL not enough to compensate this year?We conspiracy when cities like Bnglore,Kol,Mohali,Chennai not considered to host d main matches when the State Govt. permitted. Is it more secured to shift in other continents? It means BCCI don’t faith on Indian Police,NSG,Millitary!
If Mr.Dalmiya been president of BCCI,managed instead hurting public sentiment.
