BCCI has no idea how much it has hurt the millions of Indian fans!!1 This decision that they have made is what can be termed as WORST...!!! it shows how least interested BCCI is about our feelings... its best that we do not care anything about IPL this time..

Thanks that IPL has gone out. With the huge money power & power houses BCCI has shown the courage to take the IPL outside India. But who will fill up the stand?
But any way, its a relief for us. At least crazy people of india will not break their heads in cricket , instead they can do some thing creative & do some other jobbs.
IPL Circus is bullshit, simply a tool of making money for BCCI.If they dont care, why should we ? Let them go to hail.

''South Africa are also due to host elections during the tournament in April - but appear to have provided Modi/IPL with sufficient assurances over security unlike India and the corrupt Indian political system there"

Shame on Congress government and an insult to Indians.

back to were gandhiji came from. So the full circle around. See the bigger picture. MMS and sonia are trying to give us history lessons first through their ads and now through their actions, well action replay.

Are they having general elections like us?? Even if its so, SA is not having to deal with terrorism like us.. Pakis are hell bent to make India like them, unsafe for any major events..

Hope BCCI and IPL got this point and helped govt. as bit more. This national shame would been averted..

Was it right to move IPL out of India.
by Kersie Madon on Mar 24, 2009 10:12 PM

I'm sure even Lalit Modi would have loved to hold the tournament in India but had to move it out reluctantly. There are many crickets & countries involved where players have a tight schedule & could not adjust the dates with other commitments. Postponing would cost severe financial loss. Agreed that elections was more important but Modi offered not to hold matches on the dates of elections. Country cannot & should not be brought to a standstil bec of elections. Govt should have had answers to provide security for IPL. Now it would be worst if there is a terror strike during elections. Home Minister was very reluctant to find ways of holding both events as IPL would offer entertainment to people & more revenue if held in India. If BJP was in Govt, they would have accomodated both events & they would refuse, Congress would have criticized BJP. Govt should have realised that our loss has been S.Africa's gain. I firmly believe that BCCI would have loved to hold the tournment in India & has opted for S.A. had it had no choice as the show had to go on.

Poor Plannig. Business interests.
by Jagdish Reddy on Mar 24, 2009 10:11 PM

IPL and the Indian Government poor planning lead to this fiasco. Also it might have been partially influenced by the owner's of the teams such as SRK trying to get Pak players, to sell more tickets. Afterall SRK's dad migrated from Pak to India!!
