Lalit Modi done the right thing....blame it to Home Minister
by Comming Soon on Mar 24, 2009 08:31 PM  | Hide replies

1. He showed the guts to challenge the Home Minister who can't provide security to country men.
2. He is much better business man than PC.
3. He would have generate lots of revenue for India if it would have been played in India.

Now what will do PC and Congress? They should resign.

No confidence
by Lake shark on Mar 24, 2009 08:31 PM

Since Congis do not confidence to protect few Cricketers and the fans visiting them. Just think how the had got confidence vote in parliament vis-a-vis nuclear deal. So that money must have played the clear role to convince for a vote of confidence. Jai Ho India.

by Guest on Mar 24, 2009 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

It shows that Lalit Modi has tried to gobble up a lot of money and some limelight.... If the dates can be changed at South Africa... could it not be altered in India ?? IPL is just being rude and arrogant and BCCI and Lalit Modi ..... ho much more money will u make.... I guess.... people must boycott cricket.... afterall the people running the cricket show would not know....what it feels to hold a bat...or throw a ball.... Well done government..... dont bow in front of such greedy money mongers...

MODI & BCCI JUST WANT TO EAT, DRINK & SLEEP MONEY
by sanjeev ratra on Mar 24, 2009 08:18 PM

This Lalit Modi is nothing just but a money maniac. He just sees what is good for him and the BCCI. For both, modi & BCCI the interest of India takes a back seat. Its a shame that we, being indians, will be denied to see our home teams play at there homes. If the Team India has there heads over shoulders, they should also boycott this IPL and show everybody that we Love India.

The franchise owners who pledge to be real Indians, where have there heart gone now for India? All these so called Billionaires & Millionaires should not allow IPL to be taken away from India. It is in the interest of the country.

IPL & Indian Govt - both are equally good
by Vikranth Benidict on Mar 24, 2009 08:14 PM

Hi
I feel the home ministry on it's part has take a wise decision. Life is important than money and fun. Why taking risk. It's the same govt. which will be blamed if something happens.

Board of India also have done good, not stopping the game. People who cant watch at the stadium, switch on your TV boss, Call all your friends, it will the same fun as watching live match at the stadium.

Good decision by both BCCI & Home Ministry

Bad Precedence set by Government
by Vishal Chopra on Mar 24, 2009 08:12 PM

Its not about what is important - Elections or Cricket ? But what is the message we are passing to the World by letting IPL staged outside India - Are we not secured ? Then let this communist / religiously biased / corrupt / UPA with no balls accept that we are not secured in our own home. Also this decision will definately loom over Commonwealth games which are to take place in Delhi next year. It would be tough for the Government to the pursue the International community that we are safe & have robust security in place.
UPA has been the biggest upset in the Indian history when it comes to exhibiting stern decision making ability. This Goverment has surely let us down & set a bad precedence by keeping us in line with the countries like Pakistan & Afghanistan.
