200 cricketers are not more valuable than 111 crore people. Govt done the right thing by protecting 111 crores of indian during election than protecting mere 200 cricketers

So that means IPL would have sucked up so much of security that the people going to vote would have been left to the mercy of hooligans. wake up Mr.car.

to make simple for you, the rulers did not get the asked amount for the elections. They have denied security all the state govt. CMs were sitting with begging bags, when sufficient amount did not appear. This is a reccession year industries must have booted these politicians out. This has been history of Indian politics and elections.
If IPL had taken place along with the elections, congis might have won. The reason beings would have been drunk in cricket pleasure and might have forgotton all about the bad performance of the UPA as a whole and the terrorism issue would have been diluted in favour of congis. well once a loser always a loser.
Re: if
by Lake shark on Mar 24, 2009 08:45 PM
actually the congis want all the NSG's for their personal use. Thats the real reason. They donot trust any intelligence agency or the local police. they know efficient our police system have been in recent years.
When all political parities are dividing our secular country on the basis of caste, religion, region, language, etc..., etc... providing security cover during election for the world's largest & strongest seat for democracy is not an easy task for our security personnel. For me the government of the day irrespective of party took the right decision by denying the money maniac lalit modi and bcci. Moreover if date can be changed in South Africa, why not in India. For lalit modi money is more than motherland. I wish every indian should boycot this IPL-2.
Elections has to be given the top most priority, IPL can wait, Mr. Modi and his team including the BCCI are only looking to increase their Bank balance, Shame on them. People should stop watching the IPL; ICL should be re-cognized has the only Indian league.

o nano is bigger than singur. thats the calculation. All movie theatres should be closed during elections.

During this Indian election, our infamous incompetence cong govt might ask the following to our fellow citizens as they have to give security to election ONLY.
As we cannot provide security, People should not go to Movie Theatre People should not go to Temples People should not go to Park/Beach People should not travel in Bus/Train/Flight People should not go to work More than 1 person cannot gather in a single place
it is shame 4 the ruling party&also to my great country.v must ban the players who play [PARTICIPATE ]4 the IPL. Who is superiorIPL/INDIAN GOVT.Govt should teach them a lesson.People r loosing faith in our govt again frm mumbai attack.GOD PLEASE SAVE MY COUNTRY.
We are sending wrong message to the World. Bad show by UPA-Congress.
If BCCI is ready to provide the security and BJP govern states are ready to organize the IPL then why this option is not been talked ? Is it the case that Sharad Pawar is playing politics here also ?
If BCCI is private organisation then government should not allow BCCI to use word "Indian". Use of word "Indian" outside of India, represents country and not an individual.
Shame on IPL governing body on this entire fiasco. When IPL is conducting such a major event with International players in India, it is the duty of the governing body to consult with the Indian Govt as to the viability of the dates and requirement. You cannot fix dates without the consulting with the Govt and expect the Govt to wait on you hand and foot, just because you have set some dates. Setting aside the emotional value of IPL, at the end of the day it is a business run by Indian entrepreneurs and it has to comply with the Sovereign Indian Govt's restrictions. Shame on Indian political parties who are trying to gain political mileage on this, I wonder what their stand will be if they are the ruling party. It is easy to comment when you are not the one who is sitting on the hot seat. Let us think of a worst case scenario - What if there is a terrorist attack during IPL, who will be blamed? IPL governing body NO!!! the opposition parties NO!!! the ruling Govt OFCOURSE YES!!! People think straight and don't be carried by emotions.
It is very sad and shame that Govt of India is unable to provide security cover to IPL.All the so called leaders are busy in the race of chair. They have nothing to do with the prestige of the country including prime minister and home minister. We have more than 12 lacs personnel in military, para military and police forces. It means if two major happenings occur in a same time,we and our govt is unable to handle both. Then we flex our muscles to organize Olympics in the country.
1. He showed the guts to challenge the Home Minister who can't provide security to country men. 2. He is much better business man than PC. 3. He would have generate lots of revenue for India if it would have been played in India.
Now what will do PC and Congress? They should resign.

You must have drag race on TV. Now see Drag a*ss race by congis in election run up.
