India has emerged as a spectacular team after the poor performance of the Indian team in the 2007 world cup. India has developed a new attitude towards the game that is the 'Take It On' attitude. Team India does not has the fear of what is called the team fear factor. India now no more sees it's opponent team. It just goes, sees the ball and the bat and play the game of good cricket. This is what is really helping in India in achieving victory over the best teams in cricket in world today. Moreover Dhoni's moves which may also be called the 'Midas' touch these days is also prooving fruitful in India's ruthless run in World Cricket these days. Indian fans and supporters now look forward for the same performance by the Indian team in the upcoming 2011 world cup.

Bungy Jump Accidents: Extract from Google
by Moses Joseph on Mar 22, 2009 10:23 PM  | Hide replies

QUOTE:There is a wide spectrum of possible injuries during a jump. One can be injured during a jump if the safety harness fails, the cord elasticity is miscalculated, or the cord is not properly connected to the jump platform. In most cases this is a result of human error in the form of mishandled harness preparation. Another major injury is if the jumper experiences cord entanglement with his/her own body. Other injuries include eye trauma[11] [12] , rope burn, uterine prolapse, dislocations, bruises, whiplash, pinched fingers and back injury.

Age, equipment, experience, location and weight are some of the factors, and nervousness can exacerbate eye traumas [13] [14].

In 1997, Laura Patterson, one of a 16-member professional bungee jumping team, died of massive cranial trauma when she jumped from the top level of the Louisiana Superdome with improperly handled bungee cords and collided head-first into the concrete-based playing field. She was practicing for an exhibition intended to be performed during the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXI. The bungee jumping portion of the show was removed from the program and a commemoration of Patterson was added.

In August 1998, Jérôme Charron died in a bungee ride accident at the Ottawa Exhibition in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada when he was hurled 40 meters into the air before plummeting to his death as his harness had detached. In February 2000, the firm responsible for the ride, Anderson Ventures, was fined $145,000 for this incide

Sachin & Dravid
by indira on Mar 22, 2009 07:57 PM  | Hide replies

I see many criticise Sachin & Dravid in this forum. What they don't understand is that before Sehwag and Gambir we never had good opening pair. We saw S.Ramesh, Jaffer, Dasgupta and some more. No steady opening pair. They kept on changing and that affected Sehwag's performance also for sometime. Most of the times Dravid would come at 10 or 15 for 1 and Sachin at 20 or 30 for 2. They had to the job of both the openers as well as the middle order. Inspite of that also they had won many matches for India. Moreover our bowling attack especially the fast bowlers were not of the match winning mould after the retirement of Kapil Dev. Don't simply ctiticise Sachin and Dravid because wins always depend upon the collective efforts of 11 players and not on one individual. If one or two perform and the rest fail the team will bound to lose. Vettori and Ryder scored tons in the 1st innings and still NZ lost because the rest failed.

Well said people should not forget these seniors who have done so many good things for the country it was only after these Gentlemen that came that India started getting the confidence of competing with the big teams people should not even forget Ganguly's team building and Kumble too should not be forgotten either. They all should be considered as great ambassador's of India they were insturmental for India's good showing today. Kapil Dev World Cup team Inspired so many of the modern day indian cricketers. They Played and keep the bat or ball do the talking but we do not have the standard that have but we talk all rubbish . Any way keep going seniors do INDIA proud.

Sachin Shut the mouth of Deepak Chowdhary

Where is that Deepak Chowdhary who was always critisizing Sachin? May be hiding somewhere and praying to God that Sachin should get out for a duck in the next match so that he can appear again and say all bull shits against Sachin.

What is your problem if Dravid retires or not? It is not your business since you are not a selector.

ganguly!
by pranjal singh on Mar 22, 2009 03:49 AM  | Hide replies

The only difference between the good team of today and the losers of yesterday is (guess?)one man named ganguly. No politics is sometimes good. We need players with less ego and more team spirit.

sirji, aankh se rangin chashma utaro, and do a bit of research before commenting, wudnt have had yuvraj, harbhajan or zaheer in this team if dada had not backed them up. And we are yet to find a captain who can atch his record. Dhoni has a long way to go. And before gangully loosing had become a habit with us Indians, he taught us to win and believe in ourselves.

If there is one man who can be blamed for India's performance it is Chappel, even dhoni said that he was not comfortable with chappel.

Pranjal , get a grip man !!! Ganguly is the man who infused killer Instinct into the Indian team .. well we don't have loads of this Instinct yet, but still we have more than what we used to have in late 80's and 90's when the entire team used to roll over and play dead at the drop of a hat
