wordings at best
by Diwakar Viswanath on Mar 12, 2009 09:14 PM  | Hide replies

At one stage, when Vettori was signaling debutant Thompson for a second spell, the left-arm seamer looked yonder, almost with a "do I have to bowl at him" expression.

Not since Sir Viv Richards [Images] has any batsman frazzled bowlers with his naked aggression. Yes, Matthew Hayden [Images] did create an atmosphere of awe around him. So do Chris Gayle [Images] and Andrew Symonds [Images]. But certainly not to the extent Sehwag does.

SEHWAG: A BRAND FOR ALL THAT MISSING 'KILLING SPIRIT' IN INDIAN
by Jagveer Rawat on Mar 12, 2009 08:58 PM

Every time he went to play against best of the teams and toughest of situations, his game was the best in all these years. Though it made electrifying effect on the performance of the entire team by enhancing morale of other members and made wins very easy, Indian mainstream media, fans, commentators like Ajay Jadeja etc- always brought Sachin for class and Yuvraj- for being best destructor of the strategy of the opponents. However, no team of the world and no media channel of these nations have been showering praises and were most frank in admitting that there is no answer to the action of the man!

If no body could find any answer against your strategy any time, are not you to be categorised GREAT in your field?

Though one of the survey brought him ahead of Sachin and others and behind only of Dravid and Gavaskar, this survey was not given much credence. BCCI even did not honour him for his fastest 300 in the cricketing history of the world? Why because Sehwag is straight man from a rural background and speaks his mind without being dishonest to his emotions. In that way, he sleeps well, concentrate well, speaks straight and remain fearless of any comopetitor, then, it may be any or many!

Let us all have these capabilities, which we could call KILLING SPIRIT and let SEHWAG be model of us not being a SOFT STATE

I still remember when dravid declared when sachin was 195*... lol guess dravid knew sachin long time ago.
nowadays even sachin is learning under dhoni's shrewd captaincy.

sachinhas scored over 10000 runs for india in winning causes, he could easily have stayed on the other day when he was injured as he had a chance of scoring a 200 in odi but he retired knowing fully that if he stayed on it would hamper the team as he could'nt score boundaries. In the 2'nd test match against eng dravid faced 33 balls from 95 to 100, but people won't blame him but when it comes to sachin people find faults even when he scores a 100.

Never say die attitude makes this BEST INDIAN SIDE
by Banibrata Saha on Mar 12, 2009 08:28 PM  | Hide replies

Its certainly the best Indian side . All the players batsman, bowlers are firing, excellant positive captain.

The greatest attribute this team has is NEVER -SAY-DIE attitude. Even when we lost both the T20, This team didn't sulk - just brushed across as a bad day, regrouped and bashed the Kiwis.

This is positive attitude at best.

All the credit goes to Dhoni...

No need to compare Sachin with any players. He is No .1...in world.Donni is a well player as a captain, batsman and keeper...Now indian players are playing very confidently..specially bowlers.

both sachin & sehwag are great players with their own unique style. but dude, if you can accept one player who throws his bat at everything not considering the consequences of what the team will do if he fails & feel that he is playing for the country, then how come a batsman who keeps scoring consistently not playing for the country??
dont you hate to see sehwag getting out quick trying to hit all the balls out of the park?
wouldnt you feel bad after playing so well, if a player misses out on his 100?
as for sachin, he paces his innings well, so even if he spends time in his 90's, the final score on the board will not be affected.
