why not trying irfan patan
by Manesh Dominic on Mar 11, 2009 10:56 AM

I dont understand why Dhoni is not keen to give the ball to Irfan patan. He balled just 4 deliveries and got a wicket too. And the same thing is happening here in the 4th ODI. Why Irfan patan had to finish his spell after just 5 overs when the run rate he conceded was just 2.80 per over and a wicket. This look poor. When a baller bowls well why dont we use him effectively....

Sachin should have been there when NZ were batting
by Ravi Thatte on Mar 10, 2009 02:05 PM

Sachin's cricketing brain was sorely needed when the NZ batsmen were going great guns - his strategic thinking, his power of observation, his ability to motivate others on the field, his ability to suss out the batsman's weakness - these skills were sorely needed that day. If it hadn't been for those run outs, the match could have gone any way.

Dhoni has always praised the contribution of Sachin both in the dressing room and on the field and you could see during the coverage that he was being missed.

Tendulkar is the Legend
by Karun Sharma on Mar 10, 2009 11:06 AM

A group of stupids wants him out from the team .... condem him when he does not score .... regardless of reasons (like Sri Lanka recent trip)....He is scoring well now.... but the same people
are saying that he was defensive ... plays for records
Damm ... Just understand that no one matches his caliber if he is fit..... Pray for his recovery from the injuries and India might win the coming worldcup ....

NZ Game Plan:

1) Ishanth Sharma's fake injury report
2) Pressurize BCCI to not consider Shreeshanth & RP Singh anymore for Indian Cricket in general and NZ Tour in particular
3) Pressurize BCCI & Indian Selection Committee to weaken Indian Bowling attack desperately by not considering young talents and aggressive bowlers like Dinda, Gony, etc
4) Spoil Gambhir's rhythm desperately to make sure that India doesn't have a stable opening combination

And many more...

That's why NZ won T20 by 2-0 which couldn't have been possible against a strong fearless Indian Team!

You are idiots.
ICL & IPL is an indian problem forced on world cricket by BCCI.

ICL players are banned by BCCI & BCCI are not ready to allow them even in practice matches. Open your eyes.

NS:

To the best of my knowledge, BCCI still belongs to India....

I presume you follow at least SOME cricket news and hopefully know what's ICL...
Or maybe not.... I shouldn't be hoping too much from the lot who comment on these forums anyway... :)

Yes Its their ICL connection disturbing BCCI & banned through ICC for playing in ICL. & 60 Indians & only 4 on ave. from other teams are allowed in IPL, so naturally they will shift to ICL & they are banned for your infor. due to ICL connection

Mr.Dhoni Pls learn something from this..........
by Pratik Ghate on Mar 09, 2009 10:26 AM  | Hide replies

How long we r going to be dependent on Zaheer and Ishant to deliver....
Mr.MP( Dont know how he manages to be in team after worst performances which he gives(and keeps on improving on that)) almost gave them chance to win....
We cant bowled out No.9 and 10 batsmen....Coommon Mr.Dhoni u have to act fast on some of our bowlers. Why was Yusuf given only one over????Why is Sehwag not used frequently??? And gosh pls remove that bowler who has taken his place for granted in team(only umpire has to intervene and remove him out from Bolwing)....
U guys batted really well but dont wont ur efforts in batting to be marred by stupid bowling of some of our bowlers..

The boundary was too short. Dhoni was afraid Yusuf and Sehwag would go for sixes. Don't blame Dhoni for everything. He knows better than you. He is the captain and he is responsible for bowling changes and not you. What level of cricket have you played in your life? Have you played cricket at all?

So what Munaf did then...Giving two no balls followed by sixes...It was Yusuf who took wicket on his 4th ball and not Munaf....If Ur regular bowling options are not working out then should throw it to Sehwag or allrounder Yusuf..both of them has always provided breakthroughs... and i dont need any cricket knowldege for that... bowling figurs and results speaks for themselves...

lets bash up rediff on this occasion.the best way to celebrate is throw dirt on this stupid portal which is moderated by a middle aged, thick glasses wearign guy with a beard.
the moderator here is so stupid that he retains abuses by pakis on indians but removes those that are made by indians on pakis.

Abuse of the Day for rediff
