Is it Indian team of BCCI team
by R on Mar 08, 2009 07:19 PM

BCCI is a private body. So much money is collected by BCCI that it has become richest sports body in the world. If this money can go to the govt coffers, much of the poverty will be eliminated.

How can BCCI use the Indian brand. The way the government auctions the parking lots, they should also auction the Indian brand to the cricketing body. We will see Ambanis, Birlas, Tatas and big corporates bidding for the same and this will direct the countryman's money to the country.

Right now, the BCCI is exploiting and monopilising Indian brand un-checked

an entertaining match but i think DHoni missed a trick by not bowling pathan earlier , but had he done that , the match might not have become this interesting .

Munaf had been very effective bowler in past.

you r wrong...that time fast bowlers were very quick and there was not much equipment to safe guard urself.
And please do not forget (no body till date-that time or this time) close to Bradman record of 99 Average in test matches.
Had he played the number of tests sachin played, he would have scored 30000 runs and 100 centuries.

they were greatest batsmen of their genre. Remember Bradman never had to contend with the quality of bowling /fielding competitiveness that players have been facing since he retired. Also Bradman and Richards weren't burdened with the pressure and expectations of a billion people , and also didn't have to be part of a really weak unit like Tendulkar has.

All said and done, we cannot compare the 3.

what Sachin achived, it was achived by Sunil Gavaskar way-way back. nothing extra ordinary. Had there been this much ODI at the time of Gavaskar, he too would have hit many centuruies in ODI.

dont know about others but I am very proud of myself that at the time when everyone booed Sachin in Mumbai stadium some time back when he was struggling with form, I was not involved in that act. This tells my respect for Sachin. But this doesn't mean Sachin is God or Sachin is only player in the team.

honestly speaking, I feel better now for Sachin than previously. At least now he looks to be playing for team and nation. I feel good for him that he doesnt make too many centuries now, but his presence boost team confidence. He needs to score only 30-70 runs, rest will be taken care by our other brillient youngsters.

Really Sachin is great as he takes rest in 10 matches with little scores or ZERO and then makes any big score, especially against Keniya, Zimbabwe etc. or in smaller grounds. He can play life time by this strategy.
