DHONI AND COMPANY THROW OUT SEHWAG
by rumwhisky on Jun 10, 2009 11:26 AM

It was a game plan that has been cooking between Dhoni and Co. for a quite sometime, both Playboys of Indian Cricket, Dhoni and Yuvi, didn't want a senior and very talented player in the team so that had an obstacle to muscle around as they wish and this was the fate Shewag had to face, BCCI should look into this and see things are sorted out

WELL MAYBE U ALL R RIGHT ABOUT MEDIA. THAT MEDIA STRETCH THE SITUATION LIKE ELASTIC. BUT WHY DIDNT BCCI OR DHONI MAKE A STATEMENT ABOUT SEHWAG FITNESS FROM START?? WHY HE FEEL THE HEAT OF MEDIA TO HIDE THINGS? IT AUTOMATICALLY ATTRACT PPLS TO THINK NEGATIVE, CAUSE THE SEHWAG IS GREAT PLAYER. HE ALONE CHANGE THE SITUATION OF GAME. EVERYBODY SAYS THAT SEHWAG IS MATCH WINNER NOBODY SAYS SAME ABOUT DHONI.. DHONI DOING GOOD CAUSE INDIAN TEAM DOING GOOD. DHONI HIMSELF DIDNT BATTING GOOD IN T-20 1ST AND SECOND EDITION BOTHS. IF HE DIDNT PLAY A BIG SHOTS THEN WHY HE COMES ON PITCH ON 1 DOWN POSITION?

i dont know whether u understood the issue or not.. The issue is.. Shewag has not informed the capt or the board abt his injury in the beginning.. which Dhoni felt bad (i think that is correct).. But this does not mean that Dhoni is dis-respective of Sehwag or anyone.. However, the media just used this opportunity to sensationalize it (for their daily roti). Everyone agrees that Sehwag is a great player and match winner perhaps that is why dhoni is upset.. we cannot afford to miss him.. But the way Media reacted to this is too immature, un-professional. That too in the middle of the tournament. Media has to learn a lesson from this rather than blaming Dhoni as arrogant.

Hold on Guys

Yes, I agree not taking padamshri award inperson was a mistake of Dhoni, but then how the Indians are doing. The awards even have been degraded, otherwise, Harbhajan Singh, showing such a dissent behavior should have not been nominated.

Apart from that the Politicians calls Sardar Bhagat Singh "Atankwadi" and continue in politics. How would a act of not receiving an award is so big a crime?

Third point. Rift between sehwag and Dhoni. Even if it is there, has anyone got the proof? Even if yes, have they tried to find out the reasons. Pointing fingers on others and talking baseless is what has become the trait of Indian media. day by Day, they are becoming more and more irresponsible.

50 hours live coverage of a boy falling in a pithole.
Sonam Kapoors Birthday comes in their Headlines.
Questioning and Leaking the security related issues.
26/11 showed their highly irresponsibnle behavior, they were showing the pictures that were visible to the terrorists sitting in remote places as well, which helped them guiding their terrorists and hence increasing pain for security forces, who were already facing the problem to save lives.

Its high time the irresponsible media personnel should behave properly and be in their limits. Their job is to report an issue and not draw a conclusion. Leave it for the spectators.

Go the Bachchan way...
by Ajay Shesh on Jun 10, 2009 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

In the midst of a gruelling world cup, it is unfortunate that Dhoni has to take opponents both on and out of the field. Shame on you media...especially "Khhaj tak...".They say...Dhoni is acting like a dictator...!!

I would advise Dhoni to go the Bachchan way...just ignore these poor dements...Bachchan ignored the media at the peak of his career, and yet remained the king...

Way to go Dhoni...let the dogs bark...I admire your composure and calm...please keep doing what you do best...lead, play and win.

Let the digs bark and the pigs muddle in shit...time will tell...

DHONI & MEDIA
by Vijay Shetty on Jun 10, 2009 11:13 AM  | Hide replies

It is a matter of regret that the media is leaving no stone unturned in disturbing the UNITY OF THE TEAM. This is possible only when some anti national persons have bribed the media to ensure that the India do not perform well in the tounament. If at all media wants some clarification they should talk to BCCI. I earnestly request the authorities to ban the media talking to the team or team captain till the tournament is over.

If you ban the media the President will have to force 'emergency' in the nation so that isn't an option by any means. But yes, the board has restrictions for the players and Dhoni exactly practiced the same discipline but that perhaps hit the ego of a few media persons and moreover his silence led to more frustration and this is exactly how the media 'reacts' to express it's frustrations - leave the country aside we are the bosses and we dictate coz no one commands us. After all who watches the watchmen?

100cr indians are fit to eat channa and faat, two media persons are enough to irratate a mindset, so sitting in India and saying 100cr are with you is as good as sitting alone and scratching your b..ls

Jaago Indian Media Jaago ....
by Thop Chaturvedi on Jun 10, 2009 11:08 AM

I think Indian Media needs a Jaago Re kind of campaign!

The Headlines Today reporter went crazy last night on live TV... he is reporting from England that Dhoni is behaving like a Dictator !!!!

These people use whatever words they like just for the sake of using them, and just because they have a mike. They have no watch dog mechanism and think they can blabber anything and everything.

HT is reporting this issue as if some national calamity has just happened... Shame on you...

Jaago Indian Media Jaago...

Watch the 'Khaaj' Tak special!
by Grover Omprakash on Jun 10, 2009 11:08 AM

I just watched the 'premier' and multiple times 'awarded' channel 'Khaaj' Tak and they are literally using the term 'Khujli' pretty ambiguously for the players. I think with such high standards of language and ethics Dhoni and Team India sure has some competition to fight - WC seems to be just side business.

by rohit Rj on Jun 10, 2009 11:05 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is doing the right things while handling the media. I saw his press confrence and I don't find it arrogant at all, the media guys were repeatidly asking the question about Sehwag's fitness, Dhoni choose not to answer this question.
Last time when he answered the same question these media guys started running the silly story of rift between Sehwag and Dhoni.

Dhoni is right in handling these media morons, he should concentrate on winning the cup rather than these stupid media people

Harjeet, you seems to be a taking things in wrong manner. Trophy is won by only one team. India are just favorites. Even if India loose, their supporters will support them. This discussion was over the role of media.

I'm not a great supporter of Dhoni either, but have to accept that he has done good for the team.

If you see the full press conference you'll conclude that it was media person's fault.
