This the time all the cricket lovers look for classic shots.perfect cricket shots comes from experianced players only like Laxman against Lee,Rahul against Donald,Sachin against Ambros....
my opninon is removal jadeja... he is waste player in the team and abhishek nair should be replaced him... also give rohit last chance.. otherwise throw out of the team

i completely agree. Jadeja seems to be getting undue favours and his poor batting cost us the Match Vs england in the 20/20 WC.

Are you sure they didn't inform the government in advance?
Some people are here on this forum who just don't dicuss cricket at all. They come here to show their frustration against some specific players of their own country. Shame on those people.

I do agree with you. What players do in their personal life is depend on them. We should discuss only their on-field activities.

My answer to Anurag his own ego The king: Any reason to disrespect national award and your own country? FYI there could be only a few who skipped it; moreover they did it for unavoidable reason and informed the government in advance. Why do you support India cricket team not another team? Have you ever given thought to it? Are you proud to be an Indian? Make no mistake, national award are not related to any political part—be it Congress or BJP. National award is Symbol of being Indian and a proud Indian.

Have you understood my post? I am saying that its their personal decisions. There are so many people who disrespect even National Anthem, have you ever rasied voice against them? I am repeating here that I like them because of their play and I don't have nay intrest in what they do in their perosnal life. At the same time, I am not justifying that what they did with national award is wrong or right. We are here to discuss cricket & cricket players and not Dhoni & Harbhajan.

Has he ever disrespected his own country? Moreover, why follow the bad habits any great. They are great not because of their one or two bad habits but because of vast amount of talents and skills.

R u sure that he didn't disrespect his country? Tell me why had he been sent back in 2003 WOrld Cup in SA?
I dont agree with Sir Gavaskar. I think that many of our indian players were doing well in IPL, but for different teams in different conditions. To do well in a tournament like the world cup u have to gel together as a unit with precise stategy, that was lacking in the Indian team. That was visible for example dhoni came up one down for some matches & afterwords could'nt decide where he should bat later in the tournament.I think nobody knew where to bat or in which position in any of the T20 matches we played, while Pakistan had a gr8 stategy while bating & bowling, keeping Umer Gul to bowl after 12 overs. This is to the IPL to be blamed for such a long tournament & giving no time for preparation for the event like the world cup. The Coach is an important part of the team & I agree to what Garry said. He should be given Importance as he is the coach who knows what is better for his team for any tournament .He should be always happy with the preparation before a tournament, then what may be the result, the build up must go right for all, which was lacking, credit IPL.
Whatever form of cricket you talk about, it requires genuine skills and quality.
It was such a pain to see that in a do or die match agianst England, and with asking rate rocketing up, Dhoni and Yousuf Pathan could just manage a few boundaries in crucial 5 - 6 overs spell. Dhoni who was tipped as nightmare for bowlers have forgotten to hit boundaries even when the situation actually demands it. I simply didn't understand what he was trying to do. HE is not a classy batsman and can't even complete one shot. If you see all his shots are half done with zero follow through. The only skill he had was hit hard and blast teh bowling...now he has lost that skill too...
Even in T20 cricket you need batting skills....unfortunately we worship people who come out and hit with close eyes and may be score in a few matches where the luck factor is high...they really lack international class...
It is not that these players do not have brakes but the problem is that instead of taking rest they do shootings for ads which take out much more energy than playing a cricket.
Dobhi and Bhajji even skipped national award ceremony for ads.
I sometimes wonder howcome there be people who are fans of these two cricketers.
Re: Do these players make full use of brakes?
by Anurag Rathore on Jul 03, 2009 12:23 PM
If I was in place of Dhoni I also would have skipped award ceremony for money. It's not first time that any person skipped ceremony. But because Dhoni and Bhajji are big names so media highlighted them for TRP.

And afterall its their personal choice. We don't have any rights to intervene in their personal decesions. We just like them for their play.

They are only interested in making money. They are not concerned about our great country's prestige. Money money and money all the time. These players should be kicked out of the team as they are treated as Gods by our countrymen.
Ok Mr. Gavaskar, if IPL is not to be blamed than can we safely conclude that our players do not have the stamina to play criket on a continuous basis but have only interest to earn maximum and without caring for our country's reputation and giving a flop show.

When the next world cup T20 starts and if before that there is IPL, our team will meet with the same fate. Every player needs a break and more particularly us as we cannot carry on the stress and strain.
