Pakistani players didnot participate in IPL. They were fresh and won the tournament. IPL timing was bad. At least one more week should have been given between IPL and T 20.

Your assessment about Pakistanis players being fresh is fantastic. However, if you remember, when Pakistan were beaten by England it was cited by the Pakistanis that they were treating this as a enjoyable tournament and that their defeat could be because they were not match-fit. Now, they only got better as the tournament progressed. All the South Africans and Sri Lankans who played the IPL were in prime form and the IPL had no bearing on their performance hre. If at all anything, the IPL made players better viz. T.Dilshan, R VD Merwe, D Bravo et al only got better as the IPL progressed.
Media is always looking for spicy stories or people that can fill their space/time in newspapers/TV. It has been like this before and it is same now. Of course, they do also report genuinely true story and glorify true legends.
But then there are people—who are ordinary but have been/ are hyped by people for the above mentioned reasons—start believing in the hype and complain when media starts projecting what they really—ordinary. When this happens these people turn against media and their fans start blaming media. Case Example: Dhobi—unfortunately, captain of Indian Team.
There is nothing wrong or bad about earning money using your skills that you have developed through hard works.
People who criticize or accused greats like Sachin for earning money are the ones -who have neither the money nor the required skills to earn it -who earn it by wrong means---cheating, stealing, robbing, begging, selling drugs, betting, etc. or through corruption because they do not know that money can be earned in respected ways. -Or kids whose have been seeing their parents earning money by bad means only.
What's this longitivity Gavaskar is talking about. Look at the career of Gilly. He started as a dahsing batsman keeper and remains so even now after so many years of international cricket.
I do agree with him that IPL need nit be blamed for our debacle in T20. After all many other international players also played in both versions and played ver well.

hahahahahahahaha well said bhasma though i did not understant it fully....i hated gavaskar as much as i like tendulkar...gavaskar the perennial politician of indian cricket a la ganguly.
In Indian cricket after Sachin, Gavaskar loves to earn money. He is one of the master mind of IPL. His son Rohan chooses to ICL, thus both can earn money from different way. Why Mr.SG didn't advise his son not to join ICL and instead concentrate on Indian cap. It's true that as more opportunity arise more youngster will take cricket as proffession. There are alwys 10 player who plays continuly for @ 15 years and 1 changes every year. Create more 8 IPL tean as division 2 and let youngster progress in Division 1. What u think guys????????????
