Sensible and can't get better than this. Ofcourse few will be happy and few will be unhappy. Youngsters will get chance again. Person like Dravid allow him to play, he has done yeoman service to Indain Cricket. Like allowed Sachin, let him also get respectful exit. GOOD JOB SRIKANTH AND OTHER SELECTORS. HOPE WE SHOULD BRING THE CHAMPIONS TROPHY OR ATLEAST GOOD SHOW.
The Indian selectors has picked Dravid and Raina in the squad for Tri series in Sri Lanka& ICC champions trophy.There is no doubt that Dravid is really a great player and every cricket loving must respect him. But u can't select a player without his fitness test. On other hand, selectors have picked Raina, whose recent performance is not upto mark, and had a problem with short pitch deliveries,the players like Raina are only fit for shorter version of the game(Twenty-20), not for 50 overs game, where u need lots of concentration. The selectors have the options like Virat Kohali, Murali Vijay etc. who are technically very strong, and can play short pitch deliveries very well.
Team chosen for ODI's in Sri Lanka and ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa are extremely good and whole of India believe that there should be only one change in the 15 member squad and that is Abhishekh Nayar. Instead of him, Mohd. Kaif should be given a chance to play in both the tournaments, the reason is he's a quality batsman and a very good fielder in any position he is in.I strongly believe that he is very important and have the potentiality of delivering the goods at the rigt time,like Yuraj Singh he is a very calculated batsman and can bring down the run rate at any given possible time. India will be proud of him if he has been included in the side instead of Abhishekh Nayar. Have no grudges against him but he has not peformed that well what India have expected from him. Now I leave the decision upto the selectors of Indian Cricket team to have the right persons in the squad.So as to keep the Indian Spirit up and the ranking which I personally feel should be the no.1 spot for us throughout the entire game of cricket, like the Australians and I am absoultely sure that one day we will be in a position to snatch it from the Australian the spot they are in. So wake up India and take a proper decisions of including the right persons in the Indian Cricket Squad. DF... Thane

what happened to cheteshwar pujara, not seen in the team. player of the tournament of wc junior team. n scorer of consecutive triple centuries. y he is not in the team.

because hitting centuries in a junior tourney, with sub par club level bowlers on placid Indian tracks means something
media report is that dravid has been given an offer to announce retirement just like saurav did last year n in the deal, dravid is selected for odi team. is it true?

they are saying in zee news and this news channel always gives wrong news.
ifdravid can get a chance to play in the odis then the selectors should also give chance to laxman because he is also equally good as dravid to play the short pitched balls.
How come RP singh, yousuf pathan, ishant sharma and suresh raina are in the team in spite of bad performance in WI and england? because dhoni has preference for them. virat kohli was in superb form in australia in emergin players tournament but, still suresh raina who has just recovered from injury and not played any top grade cricket is preferred.
how come r p singh and ishant sharma who were failure in 20-20 world cup and in WI, are retained and irfan pathan always gets the boot? how come yousuf pathan who played badly in WI is retained? he is good only for 20-20. irfan pathan did better than r p singh, praveen kumar and ishant in 20-20. he is a good batsman and fielder as well. he would have been a much better choice in place of yousuf pathan and abhishek nayyar.
dhoni's prefence for particular players is making indian team loose like in england 20-20.
sachin and dravid have not given the fitness test. still they are selected.
all the best to indian team inspite of such partial selections.

Rp Singh, Ishanth Sharma and other pacers are in the team because there really aren't many options when it comes to fast bowler replacements.

true. abt virat. but nayar is not givn much chacnes. so he was preferred over irfan. also puzzling is non-inclusion of pujara.
