Mind your language bro, in what sense are you calling this country pathet1c, world knows India for its greatness and Tendulkar for his skill. The only thing pathet1c is people like you who abuse the freedom it provides.
Why dont Sachin someimtes say about - "India Winning World Cup" - "India Winning Series" - "India Comming top in the List" why it is always "I". Dont know pls comment

Do you think one should judge by this small piece of opinion.. Has rediff printed the whole interview..
Your commet is expressing your deep personal hatred which you need to let go...

Because cricket is a game of 11 players. Can you give an example where someone SINGLEHANDEDLY won a country a world cup?
Individual performance can win a match, not a tournament.

Just give a thought, have you done something in life for 16 long years without creating controversy, without caring for your family.. I guess for commenting on someone like “Sachin” you should qualify at first place.. Get well soon mamu

Pankaj, your is a classic case of people wanting to read / listen only the part which they want to. In the interview he said about India winning 2011 WC. You have conveniently ignored it :-)

......to score that many would be a terrific achievement, but that is not the only aim," he said, adding that "to win the World Cup in 2011" is another ambition.
whats wrong in a player saying that its his ambition to win the world cup..... he didnt say his only focus is to score 15000 and retire... grow up.

If someone on handedly cant win your country (no one is expecting that but still if we consider that) dont call he God of Cricket !! what say
Sachin you "were" and you "are" GREAT !! But I don't understand why some kiddish people judge you from your age, as long as you play good. You still play very good, though not like your young age but thats how a mature cricket player should play. People should understand that you have taken a back foot step and young blood should take the front foot. This is how cricket goes and should go, infact this is what is expected from you.
Come on grow up guys, by reading the comments below I see highly immature indian crowd who is still among caste and regional barriers. He is an Indian icon, we all should be happy to see him so strong.
He is a great player really a legend. He played in a situation like other than him nobody can do anything. He only scores a runs and others got out and India lose match everytime. Azhar and Jadeja done match fixing when he was a captain. Even in Sharjah also he played a big inning twice and India wins. This is so sad people called him a selfish player I fell so sad for those blind people.

Lots of quality players other than Sachin??? Please show a few. Saurav retired from the team because he was not able to find a place in the team because some others were performing better than him. But that is not the case with Tendulkar. No one in the present team can match him and obviously the ones sitting out of the team cant even think of it

If there was a ranking for stupidity , you would top it for sure
Yesterday i watched the videos of Sachin's batting on youtube. What a class.. esp the straight drives, paddle shots, the six off Caddick.. the list goes on..He is a legend. Might not be at his best, but still better than most of the players in the team who think themselves as great playing on the slow wickets in India.
Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid are a class apart. They know when to retire
Re: Sachin the genius
by ragesh gr on Aug 06, 2009 08:15 PM
HE CAN HIT CADDICK AND THOSE SORT OF BOWLERS. HE BITTERLY STRUGGLED AGAINST MCGRATH ,POLLOCK . HE SCORES TONS OF RUNS AGAINST ENGLAND,NEWZEALAND ,WESTINDIES ,SRILANKS. WHEN IT COME STO AUTSRALIA AND SA ,its the mighty DRAVID & elegant LAXMAN . TO ME WHATECER RECORDS U MAY HAVE ,THE CHAMPION IS ONE WHO SCORE RUNS AGAINST THE BEST BOWLING ATTACK AND IN ALL CONDITIONS. SO THAT ELITE CATEGORY GOES TO RAHUL WALL DRAVID * VERY EVRY SPECIAL LAXMAN. "TENDULAR IS A DAMN WASTE "

Manisha...sports is not for girls!!! let me brk it to you for u to make clear....Sachin is till performing better than anyone in the team...Look at the statds for the last 2 yrs and u will see he has scored at more than 53 average and in this time he hasnt faced any minnow nations and played against opponests like aus, NZ, ENg and others..So on basis of performance give me a reason for his retirement
