Sachin should retire
by Indian on Oct 17, 2008 09:55 PM  | Hide replies

There is a point in the career of great players like Sachin, Mike Jordan etc when they should respectfully retire else they lose their value in History.....

funny thing i remember.after wc07,ian chappel had said that sachin should retire.then, after india won the cb series, tanks to 2 brilliant knocks from sachin,he was the one interviewing him on how it felt to beat aussies at home and as to how special the two innings were.talk about life coming a full circle.

by lakshmanan on Oct 17, 2008 09:53 PM

congrats sachin...its a proud moment for every cricket lover....now i wanted to ask those who are unhappy with sachin or ganguly...why u people are not taking it as a sport or game...always trying to attack at a personal level..may be we are lacking professionalism...let them take their decision on their own...give them enough freedom to choose their path as everyone wanted to have...

Mr. Consistent

He is the most consistent player in 19 years. There were many one time wonders but doing same thing over and over again and that too consistently is very difficult. How many people can say they achieve almost everything at age of 35? He is legend in my eyes.

I do congrates Sachin for his historical achievement. But I feel that he must retire from cricket now. Its very painful to see this Tiger when he struggled for this record since last few months. Now he created a new record, so he should think of retire with dignity, otherwise BCCI people eill make him next Sourav.

I can understand Bengalibabu's emotions .
but do not show u r jelous abt Sharad pawar , who throw out culcatta man ( dalmiya)like kicking football . when Mr. Dalmiya was there ( President) that time bcci was very weak . now it becames very strong like ne thing , after becoming president Mr. Shard Pwar tookes so strong and intelegnt decision's , first step he gave bcci Headqurter stationed and rest of the things evry one knows
. so Mr. Bengali babu cool down and accept the fact.

please go and check number of innings sachin and lara played. lara played less number of matches than sachin but not innings (that is the real count of how many times they entered the pitch for batting). Please be sure of what you are writting and do not write for the sake of writing.

sachin has scoreod his highes scores against Bangaldesh beside 2 other centruties against Bangladesh (no century by Lara againt Bangladesh)and Sachin's 3 centuries against Zimbabwe against 1 by Sachin Tendulkar. Anyhow, Congrates Sachin.

S for Sachin, S for success
by happy club on Oct 17, 2008 09:26 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Sachin Congrats on achieving yet another 2 milestones today. 1) Highest run maker 2)1st batsmen 2 cross 12000 mark. You are a true sportsman. Everybody was talking that u were hanging on for setting personal records but no Indian was thinking ( I presume ) that when u reach a milesone it is India that is mentioned in record books and being Indian u have made us feel too great. It is difficult to reach 2 the top but it is more difficult to hang on there specially when all eyes are on u and when you have to undergo surgery for being more resistant to face the red leather. You have done it for sure. People dont know what it is to stand in the way of fast bowlers like Lee, Clark , Mcgrath when they are firing at a speed more than the fast moving bombay local train. You have stood there and laid the strong foundation for Indian cricket like the way Sunny had done before. Kudos to you, your family for supporting you . You will always be special in our hearts, long after this moment has gone you will remain in our memories and hearts and we will cherish the thought that what if we could not be close to Sachin but you are surely very close to us in our hearts. We congratulate you and to all other Indian cricketers before you who made us feel so proud that we belong to the land of great Indian cricketers. God bless you for bringing smile on the lips of millions in this trying and testing times...

sachin's average is more than Lara.As far as innings is concerned, Lara has been not fit enough to play as many innings as sachin and also his hunger for runs is comparatively less than sachin.

I think its a achievement to Sachin and I say heartily congrats to Sachin for his achievement and what the statement he told is true,"People throw stones at me and I throw milestones at them" because wen Sachin is out of form people trow stones at him by making harsh comments and he will respond by giving Mile stones
