We have at least Cats and Dogs as god...but you ppl call ur GOD 5 times a day thru mike but still u dont find him...Just don't involve religion in cricket...It Just that craze for Sachin that whole india has no matter he fails in one series...
If religion was Involved then syed kirmani, irfan pathan, yousf pathan, zaheer khan, munaf, wasim jaffer wouldn't play for India...

Farishtay se kam nahin, Ateequr Rehman.
Some of the people may not be that well versed in English. Sachin is A God of Cricket, not the GOD. You don't have to look at things with literal blinkers, "La Illah Il-Allah" does not mean you cannot admire someone, and say "Woh toh Cricket
Ka Khuda hai". I have heard Muslims use this phrase, when describing someone
of outstanding ability. Yusuf Khan Sarwar Khan Khan, Dilip Kumar to us all, is referred to as Acting Ke Khuda. It is just a form of high praise for someone who has achieved the highest pinnacle of excellence in his profession. But then, you sound positively like a product of Madrassas.
Explaining the nuances of English and distinctions between a God and GOD would be beyond me to teach, because it is beyond you to understand.

pinnacle of excellence in his profession. But then you

Cmon Umanathan, dont expect a muslim to understand magnanimity. He has been taught since childhood that a goonda God exists who will punish anyone who refuses to be slave: even Mother Teresa or Gandhi.

After having learnt that bollocks gundagardi about Gunda God, poor Rehman has lost two things 1. Tolerance 2. Intelligence. Now you can see him and his entire community and their state, dont expect him to understand magnanimity.

Ateequr & Salil, Please ignore those who don't speak for friendship.

World over everybody wants to live in happiness and peace. While there are countries that encourage diversity we fight among us and incite hatred against each other. If every body is respected as human, no politcal party which depends on religious vote will be successful.

by Bhardwaj Velamakanni on Oct 18, 2008 04:08 AM

Tendulkar has the knack of getting out in the 80s and 90s - missing Centuries narrowly. The immediate threat to him is on the Centuries with Ponting closing in. If Tendulkar doesnt score 4 or 5 centuries pretty fast, that record is a gone case

TENDULKAR SHOULD STILL RETIRE...AS PER ME
by LeaveSRKandSachinAlone on Oct 18, 2008 02:59 AM  | Hide replies

okay its just my opinion he shld retire atleast from onedayers after england series and focus only on tests. but he can make a comeback later in onedayers just for 2011 world cup. this way eh can keep himself fit by playing less meaningless cricket(onedayers where his record can never be beaten for no. of runs) and he can make tons and tons of centuries more in test cricket so that idiot ponting can never even think of overtaking it.

what do u say?

sachin played so many matches for india. We never won cups.
At least we admire dhoni that due to him we got a chance to win 20/20 worldcup.
These sachin type faltu players were not there in 20/20 due to which india won that. Otherwise if he would have payed the match then surely we would have lost the match.

An amazing experience to see Sachin Tendulkar running for becoming the highest run getter in Test Cricket....A day for the Indians to take pride in that....That was another day when Sunil Gavaskar ran for his 10,000 Test run...Both are equally important to an Indian...My heartiest congratulation and salute to this wonder boy of cricket....Great job done....

God bless him with strength and wisdom;

HE IS A HERO INDIA DOES NOT DESERVE
by Lotan Potan on Oct 18, 2008 12:10 AM  | Hide replies

1 billion poor poverty stricken physically weak people with no sporting achievement in the entire history of their country.

Suddenly they get someone who can be called 'world's best', so what do they do? The same as they have been doing for centuries, abuses and disrespect.

SACHIN WILL RETIRE ONLY AFTER RICKY PONTING!
by Kabeer on Oct 17, 2008 11:57 PM

Sachin will retire only after Ricky Ponting!

Ricky Ponting has a better average and is not suffering from any injuries, like Sachin!

Ricky is snapping at Sachins heels for the maximum number of runs and centuries!

It is just a matter of time, if Ricky bats the way he is doing, he will overtake Sachin with a lot of ease!
