Every proffesional inning field has a beginning and an end. Cricket is nothing different and neither are the cricketers. Its onle better understood by the professional as to when he should quit the field in which he or she is in. Hence the best judge for the decision is Ganguly himself. Debating over the reason of his retirement ( whether he was pressurised by BCCI or the underworld etc..) is of no use as far as Ganguly's retirement goes as its already taken. However on the other hand, i believe such a scrutiny is required for the present and young heroes who would also become old horses one day. No player should be forced or thretened to quit. I beleieve that the player himself is intelligent enough and can easily determine when he is supposed to quit the game. As far as Ganguly is concerned, lets give a proper farewell to a stalwart who has immense contribution to Indian cricket. Every player has his failure and success, even the greats of Don Bradman, Sunil Gavaskar, Clive Loyed, Vivian Richards and our very own Sachin Tendulkar had their share of success and failure. I feel that instead of posting our comments such that "it was due, required etc", we should appreciate his efforts and provide him the farewell that a genious should get. AND THIS SHOULD APPLY TO EVERY SINGLE PLAYER WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TOWARDS THE GAME AND OTHER GAMES.

Also we point out that all fab 5 are good players but they all 5 perfom now slowly decreas so they should decide what they are capable of bcoz its very hard to make decision on ourself but it is must for indian cricket so as per last 5 years note we have make noticed that sachin should more focus on test cricket and good for him fitness to out from now 1day to give chance to young talent.Ganguli also honourable and he is already out from one day cricket from selective commitee and we also agree with that he should focus more on only test level now that he will be inspirational to other players and we dont think he behave like only king as he is a great human and great cricketer so he will definetely support the indian comming talent and selector also give full support to experience players to make him statement freely despite to make politic 4 personal winning coz u all dont forget that in your personal winning for secure your place and to show your impotance although not good for indian team int-national level it will big lose despite your personal win and secure place u all dont forget your place all will be safe once indian team perfom well and indian team will perfom well when all selector and expe- batsman support good talent indian cricketer current form.and also dravid include only in test and kumle-vvs should retire in both format.Make GAMBHIR captian in both format. give chance parthiv,rena,badrinath,chopra,chawl-ojha,nanda,m parmar,r sharm,kohli-pujra,dhawan 4 test
Dada has shown that he's a champ in his own way.The timing of the retirement is as sweet as his off side drives & cuts .He will be long remembered ( even his critics will not disapprove)for the aggression & the fighting spirit which he brought into the team during his captaincy . It is a cycle. According to the cycle one has to go on and move on with life and it has to be happen one day. Now, it is the turn of Saurab who with his aggressive leadership qualities showed the world , India is not a poor traveller any more and they can win the matches outside the sub continent. Hats of to him , India is now considered as one of the best in Cricket. We are the only team who have beater the mighty Australia where no team has done so far. Moreover, even if the fabulous four ritres, there are some more players who can fill their shoes as these people have done when the great trio, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar and Gundappa Vishwanath and the famous spin quartert have done before this and hence i don't think it is the end of road to them and they can begin afresh and can start a new innings in different field and can give their experience to upcoming cricketers.

According to our sources, Sourav informed the BCCI of his desire to sign off his international career after the two-Test series against the Englishmen, against whom he had made a memorable debut way back in 1996.
He got a sympathetic hearing and some assurances, paving the way for his 'return' to the Team India fold. The assurances, however, came with a couple of riders.
First, he would get only the series against Australia. Secondly, it would be up to the new selectors to judge his performance in the first two Tests before he is given an extension till the end of the series.

ganguly is very good player no matter what his critics say.The same thing applies for Sachin too-he cannot think he is any different as he scored 30 centuries.Centuries do not matter if your country loses.This nation and its media will blindly argue that indian players are greatest even when aussies have three world cups and conquered this generation.Its time we understand that younsters are waiting in line for their chance.Time to go and all the best for Sourav.

Yes the time has come for the so called fab four to bid adeau. There is nothing like that will India will be able to manage without them. This was proved largely in the recently comcluded Indo-Lanka series. The fab four had no answers to the "Mendis Magic" where as Dhoni's Devils in the ODI had more answers to the mendis magic.We should always have a positive approach, new guys if given the opportunity will definitely come good. After all the future of the Game & Country's reputation should be taken care of rather that rest on past laurels.So the Fab four should definitely call it a day in the Country's best intrests and also in their intrests.

Nonsense. It was just one of those things. It is stupid to insult these guys on the strength of one bad series. These guys have done a lot to lift India from potential to performance. You will have to phase the players out over the next 1 year. To remove them abruptly would blow a big hole in the team. By the way these guys have missed matches earlier, but the guys called upon to replace them were not good enough

I have read full conversation and as per my view, We can’t forget contribution of Feb. four for India cricket but when we think about future of Indian Cricket, we need future player, Cricket board of India should use rotation system to decide the future players and should give chance to old also. Then select bust one for nation. B’cos new players are also not performing consistently.
