Dravid the great
by Guest on Oct 15, 2008 10:14 PM  | Hide replies

It is no joke to score 10000 runs in both forms of cricket. But still some illiterate cricket fans keep talking about his strike rate. His strike rate in odis during 2007 was more than 84 but still he was dropped from odis. Lets get the facts right and then critcize cricketers. Who ever criticizes Dravid are really illiterates. They no only to play cross batted shots and can prepare for T10 world cup. Dravid u are a legend

congrats ... you deserve the praise

Dravid - you deserve it (and a bit more!).

your skills might have waned (temporarily, i hope) but your glory days needs to be remembered and well cherised. I will not forget your 148 in headingley, 233 in Adelaide or 270 in rawalpindi in haste. Classic knocks they were!

heed not to these nay-sayers as they don't know what they are saying. you & the fab-4, kumble & sehwag deserve all the accolades you received - removing the title of "home tigers" from indian test team

Dude, dont forget the 180 @ Eden garden against Aus in 2001, his partnership with Laxam who scored 281 was probably the best thing I ever watched from an Indian side in Test Cricket!

Wall !!
by Guru on Oct 07, 2008 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Let's face it guys. some Dravid hater has really epitomised some qualities of Rahul Dravid by building this wall.. wonder how people have missed the point altogether!
Dravid is actually a WALL..
A wall signifies something which is stuck (like Rahul Dravid gets stuck, the moment he gets the strike, the non-striker can take a nap for a while)
A wall doesn't react to anything happening around it - like if the opposition is hammering a bowler, then as a captain, Dravid decides to be like a wall, unfazed and repeatedly allows the bowler to be hammered till we lose the match...
FINALLY, When Dravid declares the Indian Innings and Tendulkar gets stranded on 194* then of course the public needs a wall jiske oopar sab apna sar fod sake..
