He reminded 'Erapalli Prasanna' to me often. Cocky, Decent and very successful cricketer. Always well behaved. Incidentally proved to be one of the VERY GOOD captains too. He led very well and WITHOUT any controversies. Once I wished, he could have got the captaincy sooner.
With almost all GREAT heights achieved, his is one of the succesful & contented career which I am sure he will cherish for ever. Even country will cherish for long time to come.
I wish him success in his future endevors in different dimensions of the cricket.
Also I think, it was not good on part of Vengsarkar to comment like that. Vengsarkar was never the world class cricketer that Anil is to comment like that.

vengsarkar is the thackeray of indian cricket always protecting mumbaikers and spoiling the south players why does he have the bad mouth against kumble for the achievement he should be called colonel. not for the vengsarkar. in future be aware while speaking about kumble.do we talk loosely about sachin in lean period....?
Kumble, THE LEGEND has given us lots of victories and made us feel Proud. He used to turn the matches within no time and is a great Cricketer. I wish him all the very best for his future Endeavours. Sri Anil Kumble has always been my favourite cricketer. He is one of the best bowlers that not just India but the world has seen. His never say die spirit and gentlemanly behaviour makes him unique. Vacuum created by Jumbo will take long time to be filled. He has set such an example that the generations to come will look upto. All the best to the biggest match-winner of Indian test cricket for all his future endeavours. We will miss you man! Long live Jumbo!

Many People may say Many things about FAB 5 but not to forget their efforts and contributions to the cricket. Many critics may comment about their performances without even having cricketing basics. Kudos to the efforts and contributions to the cricket FAB 5.
