Kumble is always played with dignity and with great respect. I rate him far higher than any of the Indian player as he won matches for India more than any one ( sachin, kapil etc).
Salute to the greatest ever spinner and players india has ever produced....he is a role model not just for his bowling abilties but for the sheer grit, commitment, attitude, force and zeal that he brought to the game whenever he played for INDIA.... Mr. Anil Kumble ..you deserve all the applaudes and you are a true champion.

ok. see in 2018 where is Piyush Chawla. I like him as a cricketer. But, we should undermine the contribution of Sachin, Kumble, Saurav, Laxman and Dravid. It is very easy to criticise and ask for replacement.

Looking for a successor can also be considered as tribute to the seniors!!

Do we remember under what circumstances did (Retd. Colonel) Vengsarkar quit? If my memory serves me right, he lost his place in the side and his career died a natural death. Since, he became Chief of the selection committee, he has been pursuing a single-minded agenda of chucking out seniors and replacing them with juniors. We need to place emphasis on track record/past performance, potential, form, fitness while making selection and not the age of the person. He tried to push his own academy player (Wasim Jaffer) even though he did not have either class or potential. Let us not listen too much of what he says.
This is definitely an end of an era with shane warne and kumble retiring and murali close to retirement. There would surely be a crunch in the quality in the spin bowling once murali is out. There are gud prospects in but neva gonna be the same.....hats off to the man with dedication, patriotism and grit....thats Anil Kumble...
