Grounds for ICL
by R.Chitharanjan on Mar 18, 2008 10:35 AM  | Hide replies

In southern India there are more grounds with out BCCI control. ICL can approach the grounds like Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai (Under Corporation of Chennai), Cochin , Bangalore & big college grounds etc. ICL should not give importance north India & north Indians like BCCI. All parts of India and players all over India to be selected & improve their performances.

Suckers like you are a bane for India. What the hell you mean by saying favoring North Indians. Isn't it part of India. It's really unfortunate unwanted scumbags like you who give the entire region a bad name. ICL is pretty good, and I don't care a damn where it is played. It's as good in South, West and East India as up in North.

Kiran more don't bluff anyone. You are here to make money.Just don't fool people.ok.You thought that after the WC07 Indian team's stock would dip and you planned to seize the opportunity by cashing in on the discontent among people. But Alas, God has his own ways and the Indian team has performed fantastically over the past 12 months.Your CEO Himanshu Modi was shouting on TV that India cannot win any tournament unless a league like ICL exists. So the reason behind India's triumph in England,T20 WC,Australia and at home against Pakistan is the ICL.Himanshu also made a claim that ICL will unearth a guy better than Dhoni.Where is he?Every team in your league has a foreign wicket-keeper(barring 1 or 2 teams).Stop making these claims about improving domestic cricket and concentrate on fulfilling your real purpose, make money out of an industry called "cricket".Mr.Kiran More, you are talking about Sachin Dholpure being a great talent.Stop it.When Mr.Dholpure was one of the highest run-scores in Ranji Trophy Plate division(2004-05 season)and wasn't picked for the Central Zone squad, you gave an explanation that performances in Plate League do not matter and pointed to his first-class average(29.81).So much for accusing BCCI.Stop whining about BCCI's tactics. Will rediff allow it's employees to work in Yahoo or any other company(atleast part-time).

Dear Mr. Chaitanya,
Your views about Kiran More are unacceptable. He was Chairman of BCCI's selection committee & has done his job very well. He was earning good enough over there & would have got any other opportunity to earn money from BCCI. I think ICL is doing great job for Indian cricket and the players who could not get recognition after serving for BCCI & the state teams for so many years. ICL is in its primary stage, you can't judge the future of it right now. Ex-International and even 83 World Cup winning skipper & players are guiding & handling ICL events. It is better to have cricket players as the administrators of the cricket events rather that politicians & businessmen like BCCI. Now, the future of ICL cricket is truly in the hands of the ex-cricket legends who can really think about cricket and cricketers in a right way. Not like the franchisees of IPL who want to earn 15% of the money earned during the tournaments. Even the legend like Adam Gilchrist felt like cow when he was auctioned. BCCI is treating the legends like cow where ICL is helping to grow players like Sachin Dholpure, Murtaza, etc. to play with the legendry international players & also to earn their living.

I guess ur also member of BCCI. everyone making money either it is BCCI or ICL. BCCI will also play politics or biased to some rich community in selecting the players. When someone makes mistakes then only GOD will create something like ICL ( in ur sense). Everyone wants money but as only BCCI was minting that ICL has also started to get its share by making some palyers earn for their livelihood. So donot mistake ICL as well as donot support BCCI

ICL doing what BCCI should have done
by cutiepie on Mar 13, 2008 02:03 AM  | Hide replies

ICL by promoting academies and cricket at the grassroots level is doing what BCCI should have done years ago. So why are we all bad-mouthing ICL?

BCCI is not allowing ICL to use the cricket stadiums in large cities which is making it difficult for them to see more success.

The IPL idea of BCCI is stolen from ICL itself. BCCI should be penalised for stealing ideas when it is they who are responsible for governing Cricket in India.

Hats off to Zee, Kapil and the others for having the courage to standup to the brute power of BCCI.

BCCI should be forced to back off and treat ICL at par with IPL and allow access to all cricket infrastructure to both parties for the sake of improving cricket in India.

Kiran More was the person instrumental in destroying team sprit when he was a selector he was the person instrumental in removal of Sourav from the team, he was the who selected the team for world cup, now he talks as he has not done anything. Its everyones knowledge how ICL was born out of frustration, Subash chandra wanted to take adavantage of World cup debacle and thought he along with Kapil dev could divide Indian team, but they failed. Kapil Dev just talks nonsence biggest thorn between ICL and BCCI is kapil he utters nonsense. Second editin of ICL is Flop, there are harrdly and spectators to watch. Even the opening was flop with no big ICl organisers. ICL is a FLop show

You love cricket or you love BCCI, when small kid get chance to play in his school team, see the happyness on his face. Is BCCI capable of bringing happyness, No they brought politics to earn more money, if BCCI would have taken it is good sprit all those who dont get chance at national level would have got another stage. ICL would have been door to enter in Ranjee, now a days cricket acadamies are entry to ranji, But no, BCCI dont want to share money

ICL is no doubt a big flop show. They should stop showing off about thnking for emerging cricketers, wat was Mr More doing when was given the job of cheif selector he did nothing for the country instead of standing by a player like Sourav Ganguly he was all guns out blazing at him .Your the person who destroyed Team India Mr.More and in a very sooner time only you ll be the person responsible for BIG FLOP SHOW of ICL.
And about Mr.Kapil Dev, mind it, a single player cannot bring you the world cup its a team effort which brought the 1983 world cup i heard a many times on aaj tak and headlines today as u r only given freedom by this 2 news channel to shout scream and dance and make a fool out of yourself, you all the time claim i brought the world cup if you brought the world wat were the rest 10 players doing around you. And you say you are legend and support cricket you were the person who said the greatest seen indian cricket mr.Tendulkar shud be dropped from the squad. the whole world laughed at you and your comments.you are not going do any better for indian cricket nor essel group you have already ended in a big Flop show.
