Kiran More is selfish person. When he was working with BCCI as selector he played lot of politics to secure his interest. He was the one responsible to drop Ganguly and to keep the Ganguly-Chappel issue burning. One must take care that such person should not be given any chance to spoil Indian cricket any more. I do not know why Kapil joined with all these dirty politics.

If there is a talent in ICL, BCCI should not hesitate to recruit in Indian team. Politicians, eat not only money.

All these started with ICL is'nt it, all these player auctions on TV, big money etc. I think credit goes to Essel for bucking the trend. Time only will tell whether the series develops or flops, my guess is in due course it would be integrated into the ICC fold. Franchisee cricket is always good because so many players get to play top quality international cricket albeit of the very limited over variety and get exposed and also get handsomely paid as a result. It was an idea whose time was past. The idea that cricket is played as nation sport, with all its attendant nationalist frenzy is quite obnoxious, frankly. No other team sport is played on nation basis and that too so frequently. Football & basket ball have franchisees and so also hockey, volleyball, rugby, ice hockey, american soccer, australian rules football etc. though in a limited sphere. The idea that private persons owns teams and develops sporting infrastructure is quite exciting, at least in India. Kudos to ICL

ICl is not run on franchisee. The entire team belongs to Essar Group and teams were divided in to 8 team and the matches were played just like friendly matches. The quality of cricket is not that good. The tournament has been started just to promote Zee Sports TV channel. If they make any profit, the entire profit will go to the Essar Group.
