After it was 54/4, not even a single person thought india would score 299.. but good job. After Sachin and sehwag is retired (after world cup 2050) we may have some chance to win

Sehwag is still to peak and soon he will, but yeah Sachin's time has come now i believe as he demonstrates a nervy start 9/10 times under pressure and deos not help for a batting line-up that needs the top order to contribute in the right sense. Something that Aussies faced in the last few matches when their top order was failing time and again. All batsmen were capitulating under pressue of re-building. But now India needs to see this off. And Sachin needs to sit out some games, or play second fiddle to Sehwag and Gambhir and rotate strike keeping his wicket intact. When he starts playing across the line he stuffs up all the time, he needs to play lot more straighter in the beginning 10 overs and then go berserk with his shots.
Dhoni is all set the tag hiself as the most arogent caaptain of the Indian team. He is not talking about his performance and blaming on others. The only thing he can think of the 6 crores he is going to earn every year.

Agreed !! In all the presentation after match he talks too much about himself.. I did this, I said that, I helped him, I am gr8 and so on .......
For the first time we have a man at the helm who is not afraid of calling a spade a spade.
The calling to the fallen god was coming since long - in fact from the finals of WC 2003. But in kaliyug the love of money makes thins thicker and thicker by the day.
Jeff Crowe might have just followed the letter of ICC rules in punishing Ishant. Like the foul mouthing Symonds, Jeff Crowe is also palpably guilty of not following the spirit of the game. If I were match referee, I would have definitely warned Ishant and not fined him, but banned Symonds from playing any form of cricket for five years. He was out clean and square and had no bloody business to foul mouth things to the young Ishant. But then as I said earlier this is kaliyug where justice exists but only in miscarriage.
After the glorious defeat of India yesterday (as opposed to ignominious ones achieved under Sachin and Dravid in their days) gossip mills are active calling for the recall of the spent forces. But I liked one voice among these mad myopics - that of Yashpal Sharma who like Dhoni can call a spade a spade when he succintly put across that if any senior deserved to be in the team, it was the performers. Yes, I do not want any oldie in the ODI and T20 team. But on short term basis, Laxman or Ganguly would definitely be the right choices instead of Sehwag and Tendya.
I have kept a huge waste bin, so comments in bad taste are welcome!

The article aings the praises of Ponting and Symonds, but unfortunately does little justice to the heroic efforts of Gambhir, Uthappa and the inimitable Bhajji who fought like lions after the failure of the top order. Who would have thought that they could have brought India to within 18 runs of victory after they where 51 for 4?

Look at the batting technique displayed by Kohli and Co in terms of defence and aggression. Sehwag, Yuvraj and Dhoni should take serious lessons from the lads.

No doubt. So called 2011 will be the era of these lads -Kohli, Srivastav, Sanghwi, Jadeja etc. I am sure.

But should play better to win. Where is Indian? He was making some comments about Indians displaying fireworks on the batting pitch. Some fireworks. yes. uthappa and gambhir could have won the match. I liked uthappa's free hit to lee.. was real good to see somone having the guts to hit a oz bowler but oz will play better in finals. and i guess its going to be against the indians. they better play well.

Shut up asshis.. apart from the title of your message, rest all is crap. India will surely lift up their game and win the finals.. they have an unused ace up their sleeve. Why do you think Tendulkar is deliberately leading you guys to the slaughterhouse? So that he can make the kill in the finals and disprove all his opponents that he only plays in the initial rounds and not the finals.. Mark my words. You will regret backing the ozs..:-)
