Why cry so much over Kanpur pitch, why not talk of Ahmadabad. The Test match was eventually over at the end of second day and was over before tea on third. It's just that teams like India cannot bat on grassy pitches still and some teams cant bat on rough spinning pitches. I would say both the pitches were good and produced results. If there was a bad pitch in the series, it was in Chennai. which offered nothing for bowlers. Take it from me if you play more matches on such pitches, even bowlers like Harbajan, Kumble, Sreesant, Styn, Ntini will loose their place in team.
Times have changed. The same thing happened in the past when India had yet to produce a good fast bowler (i.e. pre Kapil Dev). Those were the days when the various International Cricket Associations were poorly off for funds. Therefore unkempt pitches did not invite comment. In today's time when the BCCI has enough money to water the pitch with mineral water if it so chooses to leave the pitch uncared for invites comment. Mr. Dhoni made sure that the attention of the World was drawn towards the pitch by giving the curator a cash reward. Now very soon the curator will also have a place in selection meetings were his "reward" will be decided for preparing a pitch to suit he strenghts of the home side. If the pitch fails to play up to expectations the curator will be awarded a "fine" instead of a "reward".
if SA could make 150 runs without losing a wicket then how can the pitch be called unfit or substandard? And how could Srishant and Ishant add nearly 50 runs for the last wicket ?Roshan Mahanama had no problem with the Abad pitch where the Indians collapsed for just 76 runs !India faced the worst pitch in 2003 in NZ ! That time ICC had no complaints . It is only when India is winning ICC has sees all problems.Malcom Speed seems to have jaundiced looks when it comes to any good thing related to Indian cricket.

I agree with what you have said about the other underprepared pitches in the world. As you have said ICC is picking on India alone to get back at BCCI. Roshan is just doing his job to please ICC and get a raise in pay. But the Kanpur pitch was totally rubbish and was underprepared to help India win. All 3 pitches in the recent series against SA were garbage and unfit for test cricket.
It seems ICC has a mandate against India and keep sending umpires and match referees to make things difficult for India. That Proctor's decision against Bhajji was overturned is an indicator how blatantly biased ICC servants are. It is time BCCI fires back and sues ICC. Mahanama should be asked to provide concrete reasons for his complains. If none of the players complain about the pitch, it is ridiculous for ICC to raise picth as an issue just because India won. In fact, this is an insult to all Indians. Mahanama is a fat scum who shud be banned from all events on India.

Rightly said dude, Why can't ICC / Mahanama observe about Sri Lankan pitches. They also prepare pitches to suit the chucker murali. ICC have altered the arm/palm bending rule to enable murali to bowl. tomorrow a half sighted bowler may ask that since he is born one-eyed and can't see properly there should not be any No Ball rule applicable to him. will ICC approve this. hahahaha
if ind wins the match in 3 days, its the fault of pitch and if the same team loses in 3 days like in ahemdabad, then its the fault of ind team? is bcci is full of cowards.
srilanka have been preparing such wickets since long to suit murali.they either prepare turning tracks or flat wickets so that their batsmen can create records.

100% agreed. Forget all the whites having bias against Asians, all these SL players like Mahanama, Ranjan Madugale, etc. are all biased against India.

I think this is a very good idea. I'd luv to see Azhar bat - fixing or not, he was THE stylish batsman. Besides he should be innocent until proven guilt *conclusively*
