Dear Dravid............

Congratulations Dravid!
Hats off to you.

Again it is proved that I have not done any mistake by liking and loving you. You have given a tight slap over the face of these useless haggards of BCCI. I enjoy by hearing the sound of slap over great SARAD, NIRANJAN, LALIT etc. These people cannot even talk prperly - whole life they devoted only to play narrow and nasty politics. You have come out from their fold boldly - again I express my indebtness to you.
Infact, for the last six - seven months we, some real Rahul lovers were wanting the same. We were interested to see back in your usual form - we want to see you as the great Indian wall. But some of your blind supporters wanted to colour it by terming us (i) Regionalism, (ii) DADA follower and so many. Unnecessarily they went in war of words, following nasty ways etc.
I express my regards to you that you have understood rightly what your fans were wanting. And for your this character only you have more fans in Calcutta and Bengal (you once ackownoledged the same also).
We love Sachin also as he is not involved in Mumbaia politics (till now) like Gavaskar (hated by any positive cricket lover for his politics against Kapil Dev). But at the behest of Sarad Pawar, he will not be able to maintain his character.
Let us see "Destiny takes people where and how......."
Thanks Dravid again - we will be waiting for seeing excellant batting form from you both in test and one-dayers.

M-Maharashtra- Main culprit behind Dravid withdrew his caiptancy!
With due respect to all citizens of India, To my humble openion, Bad political warm Sharad Pawar wanted to bring more of his camp people in charge- Say Dilip Vengaskar(He can anyway became sele chief- but he could make it due to sharad),Ramesh Pawar(Goody but could make come back only due to shrad, Ajit Agarkar(Why he is team after these many failures),Sachin(I am not sure but I believe gentleman may not be interested in becoming capitain while others want to push him), Sunil Gawaskar, Ravi Shastry.. so the list goes on.. Dravid is good human being, excellenct batsman, but any way still an average captain but more to it, he was tired off of politics. I believe,Sachin will be asked for captainancy and no wonder he will refuse to it knowing his own captaincy skills(There can not be any doubts on his other skills)- If not than believe me guys, we will be forced to believe that he also enjoys this dirty politics.

I think we lost the WC due to Vensarkar.More,Chappell and Dravid had plans for wc 2007 and had also picked few players for WC, but when vengsarkar came all these plans went haywire, he started making comments in Media which was un-necessary, also comment about captaincy before the WC led to India's downfall in WC.So Vengsarkar is more to blame along with Chappell and Dravid for WC loss.

SACHIN IS THE BEST .............

Test record of ind last 3 capains.

Tendulkar Matches 25 Won 4 win raito 0.44
Ganguly Matches 49 Won 21 win raito 1.62
Dravid Matches 25 Won 8 win raito 1.33

Ganguly 9 out of 21 against minnows
Dravid 1 out of 8 against minnows

Tendulkar none out of 4 against minnows.
Because of Dalmiya lot of matches were organised against minnows to boost records

Revised records against quality opposition

Tendulkar Matches 25 Won 4 win raito 0.44
Ganguly Matches38 Won 12 win raito 0.31
Dravid Matches 23 Won 7 win raito 0.30

The result is just opposite the popular perceptions..

Hi ARJUN Sawant..

Good to know your statistical skills but I am surely you are a failure so far as your mathematical skill is concerned.

Can you explain me how 4/25 becomes 0.44? I think it is 0.16 which again makes Sachin a worst captain.

Thanks and Regards,

Sorry Arjun -- 4/25 is 0.16 and not 0.44. Let's accept Tendulkar's old record as captain is poor. But with his experience and ability, he commands very good respect from all the players. Hence is the best suitable candidate at this juncture.

we never had a situation like, when we were begged bermuda team to beat bangladesh & srilanka in the last world cup. For that the Captain was the main responsibility.he should have been resigned on that day itself

stat tells dravid most successful odi captain
by Suman Bhat on Sep 17, 2007 09:03 AM  | Hide replies

dravid is most successful odi captin. he did good job as captain in less than 2 yrs he surpassed ganguly' recored.
Odi record for ind captains
Names      Matches       Won       Lost       Drawn/TiedWon%
Kapil        74       40      32       2       54.05%Azharuddin173       89       76       6/2       51.45%Tendulkar73       23       43       6/1       31.51%
Ganguly 146      76       65       5       52.05%
Dravid 79      42       33       4       56.00
while ganguly had led team for 5 yrs with full support of dalmiay dravid won more matches in less than 2 yrs while 2ex captains breathing his neck aginst his captincy dravid did good job but his teammates only ditched him In Sl team no ex captian or senior players are not jealous of mahilas' promotion as captian and all players support him and play as one unit not for sponsers or self record so SL team is doing better
Test record of ind last 3 capains.
Names       Matches       Won       Lost       Drawn win loss raito

Tendulkar 25       4       9 12 0.44
Ganguly 49      29      13      15 &nb sp;     1.62
Dravid 25      8       6       11       1.33
In less than 2 yrs dravids achievement as captain praiseworthy but ind media/ex cricters always keep on dravid bashing while no guts highlight the dirty polotics of 2 ex captains tendulkar wants to be captain and ganguly did not want to harm his stat as successful captian. Dravid gave 100%performance when he played under ganguly and tendulkar but betrayed by superstars.

Tests-Kumble as Captain and Kartik as his Deputy
ODIs-Dhoni as Captain and Yuvraj as his Deputy

Keep Tendulkar, Dravid, and Laxman away from Captaincy. Their batting is the backbone of our Test team. And they'll crumble under the pressure of captaincy. Drop all of them from ODIs. They are old now. Ganguly dosent deserve a place in both froms based on his talent. India has better talent that somebody who keeps jumping up and down to short pitched balls.

Well Debo Mcnair..... Your suggestion is not bad. After all it seems correct. Anil Kumble thge fighter really deserves the stature as a Test captain. Served the country for 18 years along with Sachin, it's time for Anil to take over.

MUMBAI DOMINATION
by asif syed on Sep 17, 2007 06:17 AM  | Hide replies

Being observing most of the comments i think everyone is pointing towards Ganguly and board official(stupids). You can clearly observe hte mumbai dominace on India cricket eg:Agarkar who is not performing well from 2000 but still he travels with Indian team the good bowler like nehra is dropped coz of this politics, they backed him as a all rounder but in wat sense Just to hit the ball in the air which fells down at the bowler end.And moreover our great Sachin tendulkar who always look for his records is creating some or the other problem for Indian team eg: when Ganguly complained about Chappel board find guilty to ganguly but when Sachin points out this after the world cup Boark Sacked Chappel.
Till this Mumbaiker senior retires and board official come out of politics its very difficult for us to get the number 1 position in Cricket.

Dravid
by Sanjeev Verma on Sep 16, 2007 08:01 PM  | Hide replies

Ganguly's supporters have created a lot of Myths:

Myth 1: Dravid's ODI career was saved by Ganguly by including him as wicket keeper.

Fact1: Dravid has scored more than 10,000 runs in ODI matches. The strike rates of Dravid and Ganguly are similar in ODI matches. In fact, it was an insult to use Dravid as Wicket Keeper in ODI matches. Also, it is not clear to me why should a good captain include an undeserving player in the team?

Myth 2: Ganguly encouraged youngsters like Harbhajan, Zaheer, Yuvraj and Shewag and built a great team.

Fact 2: Under Dravid's captainship, we got Raina, Chawla, Karthik, Sreesanth and RP Singh. Ganguly had the full support of Dalmia. However, Dravid did not have that support. Dravid gave importance to fielding by including Raina, Kaif and Yuvraj in ODI Team. However, Dravid did not get support from selectors and could not include Kaif and Raina in WC team. Remember that Indian fielding had improved a lot during record 17 matches victories while chasing total. It was mainly due to the inclusion of these players. Also, Dravid wanted to give Yuvi a permanent slot in Test team. I think that it was a big dilemma for Dravid since he could not include both Ganguly and Yuvi in the same team. The fact is that Yuvi will never able to find a place in Test team as long as Ganguly is in the team. It is definitely an injustice to Yuvi since we are wasting a young talent. People become impatient very soon. I think without the help of board and selectors a ca
