I know what will happen
by prakash mahtani on Oct 30, 2007 01:20 PM  | Hide replies

1) Rahul Dropped
2) People talking it's unfair (which is true)
3) Big pressure on selector's to bring him back
4) He will come back in the Pak series
5) If he does well then fine , if he fail's it's the end of his career atleast in ODI's

One question , why does this happen to player's who play correct cricket . Sehwag had so many chance's and dravid supported him i guess 30 game's he went .

Dravid has had one bad series ,for crying out loud this is not the way to treat a youngster let alone a senior player .

What can one say ? . This is indian cricket .

Max abuse is what should be given to the selectors i sense u are from the same school of thought as i am .

But i really dont understand till now why technically correct player's get the brunt of it . Manjekar , Dravid , Nasser Hussian , Justin Langer , Kallis i can go on . Why does this happen to batsmen who play a bit slow , but ensure they play out a inning's . Atleast this way people cant say that if we played the last 10 ball's this could have happen .

and believe me Akhtar is playing , what ever u say about him he is quick and he can turn game's in one spell . And this is exactly what will happen .

Feelings about great players
by Sagar Roy on Oct 30, 2007 01:17 PM

Dravid is a great player. It is very bad decision.I know he will be back very soon.

But to my friends of Karnataka,South and Dravid fan(like me) 'What you did in case of Ganguly?'
Shout for all three. We need them.I strongly belief in Bengal and rest of India(excluding Karnataka) there are so many Dravid fans as well as in Karnataka and rest of India((excluding Bengal) there are so many Ganguly fans too.

My openion will be same in case of Tendulker too.

So it is not time for regional bias.Just understand and do what is benificial for India.

Very sad
by Imran on Oct 30, 2007 01:15 PM

Dropping Dravid is a very sad moment for Indian cricket. Rules should be the same for everyone, Sachin has never been dropped inspite of his low scores so many times. It shows how the Mumbai mafia are trating the south Indians. Vengsarkar was not even half good as Dravid and talking of consistency. I think there is a lot more to dravid resigning that%u2019s why he has lost his game a bit. There should be an inquiry

Be ready for it.
by Arun Mehra on Oct 30, 2007 01:15 PM

Dont worry guys just because Dravid is dropped for the first time everybody is shedding tears, soon we all will get used to it. When ganguly was dropped first there was so much hue and cry, now he gets dopped now and then, it doesnt make any more headlines.
There seems to be a shift in the managements thinking and they have decided for a slow death of these 3 stalwarts, and this is another step.I think the issue is now that these "big three" shud get used to being out of the team now and then. Only thing is there should be consistencey in it, and next please show ur guts to drop sachin for a few matches, lets see who bells the cat.

patil and manjrekar, inspite of both being Bombay players, vindicating same views like the ones given by so-called south readers in this forum.

RE:Rahul Dravid Best Batsman in ODI's and Test Matches

Maxxx and Amit were watching movie in a hall, sitting on first row, very near the screen. A horse was rushing in to close up. Maxxx shouted hysterically, hey guys, let's run for our lives. Amit and Maxxx ran out of the hall. panting heavily Amit asked, but the horse is in the movie. Maxxx said, that's what you and me understand, the horse understand, but not the stupids in the hall. they will never understand!

So you need balls to speak cricket? By that logic, because you are talking too much here, you seem to be ball bearing all over. On the other hand, I just tailored an old joke into something that fits you. Jokes are jokes. Need to be enjoyed. And forums are forums, a be a place for everyone to write, not to be hijacked by one person. Keep on writing but not the same thing again and again. So if you know a joke, or two, cought it out; I am sure that will be much more readable than your rotten stuff on Rahul Dravid.

Dravid omitted, but why Sehwag ?
by cebujonas on Oct 30, 2007 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

According to selecters Dravid omitted for poor performances in th recent series...

But why did Sehwag selected?

Did he get a match winning good score in T20 WC like Gambir ?

His only score is a 75 Vs India Red's club bowling - immediately he got selected...

And Real Performers of Challenger Trophy RAINA, BADRINATH, Dinesh Karthik & TIWARY OUT !!!!

Selectors prove again that they are JOKERS only..

Pathetic selector from south V. Raju - shame on him ....

One "out-of-form" player is replaced by another "out-of-form" player. Just to compensate .

its not a question of dravid is better or schin is better... both are g8 players.... the question is do we have replacement for these 2.... welllll i don't think so.... we still don't have a replacement of these 2. People talking about gambhir, no doubts these days he is scoring runs,,,,,,, but people are forgetting he is playing in india team for last approx 4-5 years... he is dropped b'coz of inconsistency... same goes for yuvraj.. hmmm playing for last 7-8 years still not consistent...same goes for kaif... India cricket invested so much in kaif and yuvraj... If u look at autralia...players hardly play for 8-10 years... in india we allready in invested 8 years.... same goes for other players also.. shewag.. flopped for almost 2 years then only he was dropped....same for raina.. bottom line is its not a good idea to drop dravid , sachin,saurab.... we should find a replacement first.......for these players.... send the young players to australia, england,SA with A team. Scoring in sub-contitent is so easy....Real Test will be in hard, bouncy and moving pitches......

What justification? with only one seris and with three matches? Friend Dhoni Scored Two ducks in world cup. Now he is here of India and real test is awaited in Astralia and I will openly challenge Dilip Vengsarkar to select a team without Ganguly and Dravid (Sachin is Marata pet so he can not be dropped) and win the seris or level the seris and ofcourse the captain should be Dhoni. He know to play 20 overs and Chmapion agreed. but not Test or even ond day. This not because I am supprting Dravid. He played superbly in Englnd in One days than Dhoni or Yuvi but Only Three match failure should cost him badly means the same should be applied to all the players, if yuvi fails in 5 matches he should be dropped or any other. otheewise ther will be doubt, the way the Pawar and Co functioning.
