Forget about therecords. Ganguly's record was also of that type when he is omitted. And after come-back we got better Ganguly. Similarly for Pathan also. Let Rahul come that way.

Some more records of Dravid
by amit singh on Oct 30, 2007 12:22 PM  | Hide replies

Dravid has been involved in the most century partnerships in Test history - 65 (May 2007)
Dravid has the second highest Test batting average among those who have scored over 9,000 Test runs (May 2007) [25]
Scored nearly 23% of the total runs put up by India (with a batting average of 102.84) in the 21 Test matches won under Ganguly's captaincy. This is the highest percentage contribution by any batsman in Test cricket history in matches won under a single captain where the captain has won more than 20 Tests.[26]
Longest streak of consecutive Tests since debut (96)
Only player to score a century against every Test playing nation away from home (until the ICC decides to add more nations to the list of Test playing nations his record can only be equalled, not broken).[27]
Involved in highest partnership made away from home for any wicket for India with vice captain Virender Sehwag of 410 runs vs Pakistan at Lahore in 2006 (the highest partnership between a captain and the vice captain).
He is the fastest to reach 9000 runs in Test cricket. In all he took 176 innings to do this, bettering the previous record set by Brian Lara by 1 innings.

CALL BACK PARTHIV PATEL
by ravi on Oct 30, 2007 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Parthiv Patel is a huge talented player . He is in great form now a days and has scored centuries constantly. Why selectors are neglecting him regularly. He deserves place in team. He is as good as the BIG THREE.

Dravid is the current world record holder for the highest percentage(%) contribution of runs scored in matches won under a single captain, where the captain has won more than 20 Tests. [24] In the 21 Test matches India won under Sourav Ganguly's leadership, Dravid played his part in every single one of those wins, scoring at a record average of 102.84 and piling up an astonishing 2571 runs, with nine hundreds - three of them double-centuries - and ten fifties in 32 innings. He contributed nearly 23% of the total runs scored by India those 21 matches, which is almost one run out of every four runs the team scored.Amazing yaar

DOn't worry - they are waiting for some players to flop for Dravid's return
by D S on Oct 30, 2007 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

Before they bring Dravid, they want certain players to fall ...

This is total politics, they know Sehwag has more chances to fail than Gambhir, Tiwari, Badrinath, Raina, etc. They know Sehwag cannot be consistent... Dravid played the same political games to deter certain players from gaining the top spot by holding onto Sehwag & he was even made captain for a match in Assam!!!!

DEAR SOMEHOW DRAVID LOOKS CUNNING
I STILL REMEMBER IN ONE OF THE AWARD FUNCTION
SACHIN WAS DECLARED AS PLAYER OF THE YEAR
I COULD SEE HIS FACE BURNING WITH JEALOUS
IT IS IN NINTIES, I NEVER KNOW THERE ARE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM BUT I PROMPTLY TOLD MY FRND THAT THIS FELLOW SEEMS TO BE UPSET
LATER SOME INCIDENTS (LIKE DECLARATION OF INNINGS WHEN SACHIN ON 19O PLUS IN PAK) CONFIRMED THIS MAN IS NOT VERY FAIR

Dravid is not performing .He has an average of 9 or 10 in last 10 ODI.We cannot keep him until he regains his form.Let him play Ranji and improve his form in ODI,then he will surely be selected.Get u r place is the new mantra of this Indian Team, and thats nice to see.Let the players in better form play and help India win.

RIGHT DESICION.
Dropping Dravid is a 100 percent right decision. There are a number of reasons to justify.Dravid lacks the one day striking ability because of which we have to face defeat in the recent Nagpur One dayer where he played many balls without scoring and the defeat distance was a short. Dravid has lost his form since last one year. He is not an all rounder. He lacks bowling and fielding skills. He is without confidence.

Where is Tendulkar in all this?
by on Oct 30, 2007 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

Why no response from him? I can understand that idiot Dhoni not responding for his own personal selfish reasons, He is a shrewd selfish fellow who plays for money. But where is Tendulkar? After all, the 2 played together for such a long time. Is he happy with this? If he is, thats very unfair!!!!

Come on Tendulkar, step him and bring Rahul back. I have a lot of respect for Sachin but this is the time to prove to everyone what Sachin is all about. I am sure he has the best say in Indian cricket.
